I have an 06 mustang. i have had battery problems

sounds like you have a wiring problem for it to be a 06 hummm, make sure you get the right battery also with the right cranking aps, you might also have corrosion on the starter or battery and that can also stop it from turning over

2006 Mustang rear break caliper piston will not compress

Hi Alberts73,
The caliper piston has to be turned clockwise as it is compressed. If not,it will not retract. This will allow the park brake to reset. If you have only pressed the caliper in with a "C" clamp, you may have damaged the mechanism inside the caliper. If this has happened, you will need to replace them. The OTC #206-026 is the tool for turning the caliper back into the bore. I hope this helps,if you need more information, drop me a line. Thanks,Chuck

Is there a recall on 06 Ford mustang GT spark

This is true of any vehicle, when ever you replace sharkplugs in any vehicle this is a risk. What breaks on a spark plug is the white porcelin not the accual part that bolts into the block or head.If you are going to attempt this yourself(which I recommend)make sure you have the proper tools(socket set, spark plug socket, usually comes with the socket set, extensions,a swivel, spark plug boot removal tool is not nessary but if you havent replaced you sparkplugs in the past 3 years the wires may have become stuck)Make sure the gap is set properly, local parts store can provide this info, and start the new plugs by hand making sure that they are in straight.

P0172 AND P0174

Basically this means that an oxygen sensors
in bank 1 and bank 2 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust).

A code P0172 and P0174 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
1. The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
2. There could be a vacuum leak.
3. There could be a fuel pressure or delivery problem

Possible solutions include:
Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
Clean the MAF sensor. Consult your service manual for its location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
Inspect fuel lines for cracks, leaks, or pinches
Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail
Check the fuel injectors, they may be dirty. Use fuel injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned/replaced.
Check for an exhaust leak before the first oxygen sensor (this is unlikely to cause the problem, but it is possible)

sounds like you may have locked the starter - try starting it in neutral. If this fails - remove the starter and test it at the local store - most likely it is dead if the car refuses to start in neutral.

Take down the Vin # and call the local dealer - - ask about recalls and Service bulletins.

Windows passenger won't auto up or go up that

the track inside the window area is bad - or there is an obstruction - - one quick cure it so spray 'white lithium' grease into the groves on each side of the door -- a lot - while running the window up and down - otherwise you will need to remove the door panel - spray plenty inside the window mechanism and run the window up and down again . If all else fails most likely you need a new window 'regulator'
Take down the Vin # and call the local dealer - - ask about recalls and Service bulletins.

Cannot get rear caliper to collapse, with special

If while turning you are putting pressure to force it in and it is not moving it may be extended out too far. If that is the case if pressure does not help you can rebuild or replace the caliper. This can happen when the brakes wear down too far.
