Where is the voltage regulator on my 1997 Pontiac Grand am

Which sensors are you trying to locate? There are several.. Knock sensor, coolant temp sensor, oxygen sensor, mass air flow sensor, speed sensor, etc.. I can help with more detail :)

turn key to start, let stall and leave key on for 10 min
theft light will go out
do not shut off key and start car

go get a key made by dealer or an authorized locksmith using the vin number

BAD SHIFTER

Sounds like catastrophic failure in the works if you don't get this to a service professional soon.

Surging is often caused by a bad sensor in the air/fuel supply - MAP, IAC or TPS. Check for trouble codes (DTCs) using a good code reader.

check the engine coolant temp sensor. Computer uses that to determine how much gas to feed on a cold start

Is transmission oil level ok?

try to charge the battery or have it tested

It is very important the noise is identified so you can decide how important or unimportant it is and that means allowing an experienced pair of ears to listen...

Sounds like s dead short in the horn circuit.

Is the air filter dirty?

You will need to rebuild the transmission.

There is no reset, your system has a defective part, perhaps the security module.

There is also a socket (Interference Fit Bolt Remover) set SEARS (Craftsman) sells to remove bolts with stripped heads.


Be sure to have a new bolt before removing the stripped one.... or a way to get to the parts store :D
