You most likely have a short somewhere in the electrical system. Have a mechanic do a test on the electrical system.

Sounds like one of the fuses for the engine computer is blown.

Try to get AutoData of the internet, it is really good, you can get timing marks and other information of it.

Agree with Bill's analysis. Also - fuel injector cleaner in the tank is a complete waste of time and 100% ineffective. There is only one way to clean an injector, and that requires removing the injector from the vehicle. There are no shortcuts.

are you going uphill in overdrive gear . If the speed is lower than you set the crruise control might disengage. ?

I would suspect the switch, buy one from a salvage yard and try it first.

The idle speed is computer controled, it is not adjustable, you most likely have sludge in the throttle valve and the idle speed control air bypass valve, clean them with carb spray with the engine running.

Is fuel pump working properly ?- sounds like you may have a case of fuel starvation under certain situations. Check for pressure being within specs.

taking longer to start can be a number of things, timing is out, there is a vacume leak, or bad spark plugs or leads or coil pack, i would recommend first to look at the state of the spark plugs this can tell you a lot on how the engine is running.

idle control valve will need cleaning, also the mass air flow as well ( mas air flow cleaner only recommended) and the air temp sensor. may need cleaning or replacing, it could also be the spark plugs or leads. it could also need the egr cleaning as well, and sometimes it can be from were you get your fuel. if the garage you get your fuel from when its rain and you fill up and then have problems there could be water in the fuel as some garages don't know that ground water is getting into the tanks under ground.
