2004 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Benz S Class - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Sprinter 313i ECD light coming on
Given the age of the vehicle, I would definitely have the in-line filter changed. As per your increase in the temp, you could have a bad thermostat and it could be stuck wide open or worse, could be frozen closed. I would also have the temperature sensor for the radiator replaced. It could be causing your issue. If you've had the A\C recharged recently, you could have a stopped up condenser\evaporator.
Bottom line is your vehicle is 17 years old and I would suspect a bad sensor before trying to put a whole bunch of money into it. This would mean you would have to either have it serviced or, if you are able to do the work yourself, buy the part and replace it.
Hope this helps

Problem with mercedes-benz 350S 2004
um.. due to tensions being what they are there..politically and otherwise..be happy you have a car there... most services are government run and special codes may be needed ..if you have no gps or whatever it may be blocked by the military for security purposes do not try to activate anything as you may put your life and very existence on the line...please be careful..I say this as a veteran myself..I was in germany in the mid 70s when the terorists thing first got started...

I have a 1993 Mercedes 300 SE and after I got the
I dont remember if that year had a theft lock system or not, but I am looking into it. disconnect the negative battery cable for ten minutes and that should get you back to where you can enter the unlock code again and use the radio.

hi, if any doors, boot or bonnet is open it will not lock. there are SWITCHES that has to be set.for the system to recognize it is closed. please check all openings even windows. ONLY DO THIS IF.if the BATTERY HAS BEEN TAKEN OFF OR BATTERY HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. the SYSTEM MAY NEED RESETTING. the battery NEGATIVE lead needs to be taken OFF and place the NEGATIVE LEAD ON THE TERMINAL (A NOISE WILL BE HEARD), the ALARM and CENTRAL LOCKING SHOULD BE RESET, if the ALARM DO'NT SOUND put the lead ON and OFF a FEW TIMES. CLAMP THE BATTERY LEAD CONNECTION TIGHT and press the ALARM BUTTON OFF and retry locking SYSTEM. this will work if everything is O. K. gerry
