2002 malibu will not start when cold. After it

ever tune it up, try new spark plugs. gapped to spec.starts fine and runs fine, not said the latter....????Cold starts are the hardest, takes these things to start good. cold.1: go winter fuel (if cold out, isit? then winter fuel works best)2: a good engine and good spark plugs, (hot spark)3: good cold start fueling,to get #3 the modern car 89- now. needs a working and accurateECT sensor, this tells the ECU exactly how much fuel to use.if the ECT reads warming than REALITY, the fueling will be weakand may not start or stall fast.no location stated, nor if car is a daily driver, that is fresh fuelevery week,,,,

2002 chevy malibu won't start

Does the starter make any noise or click when you turn the key to start? If it does not, chk. battery could be bad, and battery cables could be loose or corroded. If there good and clean and battery is good try tapping starter see if it will turn and start if it does or still clicks starter bad. It could be ignition switch if it does nothing at all, but if it clicks most likely its starter.

Still have fan problem

The way the system works is the thermal switch, or temp sender sends a signal to the computer, the computer sends a signal to the fan relay and the relay then sends power to the fan motor. If you have verified that all of the components in the system work properly then that leaves you a connection problem. Time to make some jumper wires and use a multi meter to ohm out wires and connections and find the problem. Make sure to check your grounds too, if you are putting power to the fan motors and there is no ground there is not completion of a circuit and they will not run.
