You are the only on there,you may have put the distributor 180 degree out on ignition timing. You need to buy a repair manul and put distributor in correct position, also check cam timing.

One of the blend door motors on the A/C Heater assembly may be stuck or defective or one of the linkage arms may have fallen off.Slide under the dash a bit and slide the temperature button. You may have to take a panel or two off above the passenger/drivers feet area. Can you see any movement on any linkage or locate the noise at one of the blend door motors? You might just see a linkage arm off and you may be able to reattach it.

It may have to do w that timing chain due to vacuum advance being off too.

not a distributor cap problem as any problems there results in misfiring, no start at all, back firing etc have the fault codes read for a electronic sensor fault ( maf/vaf / baro /ambient temp sensors etc)

On the engine block, between the #2 and #3 injectors(in the middle). You gotta go from underneath.
