i think the problem is in the fuel line. i have encounter it too.. the best way is to replace all fuel filter. muzzo have 3 fuel filter. 2 located at the engine and the other one located at the fuel tank they called it as strainer. u can see the opening of the tank underneath the back seat of the car. also good suggestion clean the tank. duel dirt is the main cause of your problem cause muzzo have only a small tip that why only little dirt can cause plunging in engine. sory for bad English

Why is my 1993 mercedes benz300e hard to start when engine reaches normal running temp.
This is a fairly common problem with naturally-aspirated engines as they age, because the oxygen sensors become contaminated and do not operate as effectively, plus the idle air controls become sluggish in their operation and fail to adjust quickly enough. If the CHECK ENGINE light is on, check the codes, and most likely you will find that one or more of the oxygen sensors are at fault.
Try starting the car while holding the throttle at 1/3 to 1/2 until it starts. If it starts more easily that way, do that each time you start the car when it's warm. Replacing the oxygen sensors and the idle air control will solve the problem but part-throttle starting will save time and money in the meantime if the trick works.

Have a 93 300SE Benz, 125K runs good looks great
Tough choice but at the moment without a car payment, unless you have a bundle of cash repairing an old car is still more cost effective with high gas prices than buying a new car or any car with a payment. If you pay say 200 dollars a month in a car payment you could use that to fix your car. If you just need a reason to get rid of it, put up a for sale sign get some cash and find something newer.
