Brake light stays on just happened 143000 miles

Check your brake switch as it could be faulty hence causing a close circuit which in turn causes the brake light to stay on.It is normally located at the top of the brake pedal.Hope this helps.

Need to replace thermostat and temperature sensor

its fairly easy (don't do this while hot) temp is around 180-200* you want to place a bucket or drain pan under the the front where the drain chock is located open so that you drain about 1-1.5 gal's out of the radiator (it would be good to have some cat litter handy and clean up right away so that shoud you have a dog his/she is not poisened follow the top radiator hose to the thermostat and remove the 2 bolts on each side "if lucky you have the rubber gasket to seal the housing back up. replace the thermo with new unit (some aftermarket parts companys give you a cheeze rubber gasket its best to reuse the old rubber gasket in this case) locate temp sensor unscrew after disconecting wire reconect wire after installing sensor refill antifreeze with fresh 50/50 mix start car or van let run with presser cap off so that the system can bleed out the air out of the system then top off coolent after engine has reached operating tempature continue checking with cap off. turn hearter control to max hot add fluid to overflow tank replace cap to the hot mark drive couple times around the block and check tank let car/van sit for a few minute's to cool down check tank should read full or needs fluid add as needed check for leakswhen done clean drive

Where can i get spare blank key for my asrto van?

You should be able to go to most any hardware store or locksmith and ask for a keyblank. You can also look for a ILCO B102-P which will work with your Astro.

Another option is to google (or your favorite search engine) the ILCO B102-P and you can find online vendors who sell the keys. Most sell them in 5 packs but they are usually under $1.00 / key + shipping.

When you put the converter in the trans did you make sure it was all the way into the pump? it will go into the pump slots when you turn it, when it does you keep turning it and it will fall in alittle more, Without going into a lot of detail here sounds to me like you got a bad trans.

How do you change a fuel pump on 2003 chevy astro

on the engine compartment on the fuel rail there is a pressure port that is usually covered by colored plastic cover open it then turn the ignition switch listen for the sound of your fuel pump turning on momentarilly. if you cannot hear it while ignition is on insert small screw driver on the port to open the valve make sure you wrap rugs to control the flow of fuel if there is any. the fuel should around 40-50 psi so expect heavy fuel coming out at port if your pump is working. to change it you have to drop your fuel tank and replace your pump. this is usually left for professional due to fire hazard. any spark due to static electricity can set your fuel to flame up.

How do I get to the radiator drain plug? 2003 Astro Van

Great news for you, the best way to drain the radiator is to remove the lower radiator hose. The bad news is that OEM radiator came with no drain plug and you can have one put in after you remove the radiator to drill a hole and tap in a $6.00 radiator drain plug for NAPA auto parts. Good luck and hope this helps. this was a way for GM to save money by one less parts to have make, since most auto mechanic just remove the lower radiator hose to drain the radiator. Good luck and hope this helps. If your luck and your Astor does have one, you can find the drain plug on the lower drivers side of the radiator, engine side.
