How do you replace the power steering repair hose?
First, siphon out the fluid from the PS reservoir-a suction cup or a turkey baster works great. Then disconnect the bad hose from both ends-from the pump or reservoir at the top, and from the rack and pinion fitting at the bottom-fittings may be difficult to access due to tight spaces to work. So check if you can get to them and have the proper tools (extensions, or wrenches, or sometimes a crow's foot wrench is helpful), or if you need to take it to a shop for removal.
After hose fittings are disconnected, check for brackets holding the hose stable-often a bracket will be bolted to the back side of the engine where hoses are routed from the pump to the rack and pinion.

Is it the battery or the starter?
First thing I would do is take off the battery cables and clean the inside of them to make sure there isn't any corrosion. Corrosion can cause a high resistance to the battery so it doesn't charge properly. Next I would put a voltmeter across the battery and make sure you are getting around 13 volts. If its less than that the battery may have a bad cell. Next thing I would check the ground cable that runs from the battery terminal to the body or frame of the car. If this cable is corroded where it contacts the car it can cause problems. As a last resort I would pay 75 bucks to replace the battery before getting into large cash such as replacing the starter.
