youve got a short!!!!
with the car off and everything turned off
disconect the postive battey cable,if you get an arc then youve got a short
hook it back up and pull one fuse
then disconect the battery again
repeat this process till you dont get an arc
then you will find where your short is

Start with your fuses under the dashboard by the driver's shin bone. Remember that fuses can be burned out and not show it. Take a test light or meter and check the contacts on each end where the fuses go, with the key on, and the lights on, to be sure there is electricity getting to the fuse. After that, check each light bulb in the rear of the car. Remember, the bulb can be burned out and not show. Also check your clearance lights on the rear. Take a test light or instrument and check all the sockets to be certain the electricity is getting to the socket when the lights are on and when the brake pedal is pressed. God bless your efforts.

What do you want it to change into? If you are saying the trans doesn't shift into the next gear soon enough, could be vacuum leak, dirty filter in trans, someone put a different governor in trans. Most likely vacuum leak. Use gauge to test while driving.

yes you need the correct clips and it's real hard to install the bottom rail if the top and side rails are already on since the sides go over the bottom and the top goes over the sides to keep it from leaking.
