you need to have a shraeder type valve on your fuel rail, from there you attach the compression gauge & this will tell you your fuel compression.

more than likely burned out fuel pump need to replace unit, problem is it comes as a complete unit, pump and sending all in one. I have the same issue estimate cost $246 for unit and time if you do it yourself with some help, or lots if you take it to a pro.

Ther is a sensor on the rear end. Take kit out and clean it. This should solve your problem. Located on top of the bell housing

I assume the check engine light is not on.
In addition to the ignition system, it could also be a fuel problem.
Fuel pressure or filter problems, or a worn throttle position sensor.

Do you have any OBD Check Lights on your dash?

Any stored codes?

Don't see the intake question,same,
worse,still has to be fixed

I would suggest you drive around with a mechanic
& have that person bring along a professional grade
scan tool or software & see what data shows up.

If that isn't done, there is a good chance you will be told
they couldn't find anything,that happens way too often

You don't get what you go to a repair shop for & they don't
seen to understand why your there.

you will have to move brake pedal lock switch by hand while you wiggle key switch forward and backward to get them to align back up with shifter safety its a little tricky but will enable you to get it in park and remove key

The Avalanche are famous for the dead battery of not driving for 30 days, Your ECM and various module has a parastatic draw that is normal for you vehicle.You also have the ignition problem. Even though you turn off the ignition remove the key the ignition draw power and this has been a porblem with your year make and model You will need to replace the ignition switch Here is the TSB Bulletin No.04-06-03-002.
