The rear door on our Avalanche 2002 won't stay
The lift piston can be purchased at most auto parts stores. You don't have to go to the dealer. Check that it only uses one some have two and if so you will need both for it to operate properly.
Trans shifts ok but has vibrations though all
If your truck is 4WD , try this........ Put the transfer case in N and try going thru the gears , if the vibration is there , could be engine or trans.
If vibration goes away , look elsewhere , could be bent drive shaft , bent axle , bent rim , bad wheel bearing , steering component , wheel balance , or a host of other things. I suspect that it is not the trans because I have never come across something like that before , the only thing I can think of on the trans that would cause vibration would be a worn out input or output shaft bearing. If truck is automatic , could be problem with torque converter , if truck is manual , could be clutch problem.
Leaking break fluid from rear what is that coming
From your discription, if it is square in shape and has 3 brake lines attached to it, it is the rear brake junction block. Double check and make sure it isn't a brake line that is attached to it. If the leak is above the rear axle on back of the wheel, that's the rear wheel brake cylinder.
2004 avalanche driver door windor will not
there are 3 bolts, one behind cover at door handle just pop cover off with small screw driver. the other 2 are behind cover at arm rest handle, just pop that cover off also. the remove door lock button by prying out on little square in middle of button. once youve done that just stick screw driver between panel and door and pry out . there are plastic clips all the way around panel sucureing it to the door, they just pop out. thats it.
I have check engine light on my 2002 chevy
That code is for your knock sensor which is located under your intake manifold. There are two under the intake. I would recommend replacing both, they are 40 dollars a piece usually plus the labor to remove the intake.
My avalanche emergency brake is real loose how do
If the pedal is loose (gets to the floor), you can tighten the cable itself under the truck. There is an adjustment bolt where the main cable splits into 2 (where it splits to get to either side). You will find that bolt along the driver side, behind the driver. If the brake don't grab, there is an adjustment wheel on one side of the park brake shoe brake cylinder. They have a tendancy to rust and seize up but are easily removed, clean and put back together. Good luck.
Have a 2004 avalanche and emergency breaks not
You may just have to adjust the cable. There is a nut where the cable splits from one into two right behind the drivers door.Thats would be my best guess at where to start.Well hope this helped.Good luck.
On my 2004 chevy avalanche just died one day when
Oh the list of things it could be is pretty long.
Lets start with hmm bad TPS or plugged fuel filter? or underperforming fuel pump?
Lets see if it was really sudden id start with checking the TPS among other things.
If it happened kinda slow then id start with the fuel filter.
Poor voltage to the ignition system can sometimes have that effect too.
Abs Is engaging irratically on 2002 avalanche
Did you bleed the system after doing the brakes? and since you din't say abs light I assume you mean the brakes are acting erratically. If you bleed the breaks first after that try it and if it still does it make sure you have the correct rotors and pads.
I need to replace a burnt out low beam headlamp on
Hello, I can help you with this repair. If you look at the top of your headlight assembly, you will see 2 small gray colored rods. Unsnap the rods from the plastic clips and pull the rods up, then pull the entire headlight assembly forward. Now you can easily replace the bulb. Do not touch the glass on the new bulb with your fingers or the new bulb will burn out almost immediately. I hope this helps you with your repair, let me know if you need any further help.
Fill pipe does not vent
The usual problem is the filler pipe itself.I thought there was a service bulletin for this condition but I could not find it in my Alldata. What you can do is call the dealership and ask them.If you give them your vehicle identification number they will tell you if there are any bulletins or outstanding recalls.Hope this helps.Good luck.
Blower fan only works on #5
Most likely the switch, you may be able to repair it, pull it out and have a look they are fairly simple to figure out.
