2003 oldsmobile Alero Put new lock and cylinder in and car still won't turn over

I don't have anything to go by in regards to your vehicles history. The main items to check are Fuse and relay (are they in good working condition?), the Battery (load test, 12.6volts before the test and won't drop below 10.5 during the test), the Battery cables (tight and free from corrosion and frayed strands), the Motor (free from corrosion between it and the ground cable and the starter), the starter (bench test), and the ignition switch (worn or loose connections). Besides the mew lock and cylinder, what have you tested and replaced? What is the repair and maintenance history? Please write back with more information and I will do my best to help, good luck.

When did you buy your car ? I don't know if there are any recalls for this particular car. Maybe you can google your Car year, Model, and engine info sometimes at the manufacturer's site they have recalls posted.

2003 oldsmolibe alero only starts with starting

well, the only cause is no fuel. it could be a blown fuse and or relay to fuel pump. or a restricted fuel filter. or a bad fuel pump. heres how to hear if pump is running. place hand on bottom of fuel tank, have a person turn key to on. you may have to do this a few times,if working, you will feel a vibration in tank. for a fuel pump only runs for a few seconds to pressurize the line to engine. but it runs all the time the car is running. check for a bad fuse or relay first ! good-day !

Heater is working but noheat

sounds like a stuck thermostat or you have air in the system that needs to be bled out one each of these go hand and hand so if your thermostat is bad and you change it after you finish you have to bleed out the air from the system

Car wont start but it wants to

You may need a repair shop or the dealer for this one. Code 1626 could be a problem with the anti-theft system not allowing the computer to ground the pump relay.

Mouse nest in squirrel cage

You have to remove the blower motor from the car. This is done from under the hood and on the passenger side, connected to the firewall. You will see what looks like the back end of a small motor stiucking out from the firewall, thats what you are after. Usually no more then 4-6 screws hold it in place. Pull that, clean it out, also clean out the the inside where the motor sits. Once clean and satified you got everything, reverse the order and put it all back together. First time for you 2-4 hours done more then once 1- 2 hours.
