You could also count the instrument cluster as one too. Unless you when to GM tech school for these systems your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

Try turning the engine using a socket on the crankshaft bolt. If it really hits something, it could be the timing chain has slipped or something else is broken inside the engine.
