Where is egr valve
Without engine sizes, just could tell you that the EGR valve is a mounted on the intake manifold and has an opening
into the exhaust manifold. On some vehicles, the EGR valve is opened by
manifold vacuum to permit exhaust gas to flow into the intake manifold.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback
is important and
I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some
testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
Where on the engine block does the oxygen sensor
Have no photo, but if you look on Web for the part; some sites will show the photo. Each O2 sensor will be on an exhaust extension pipe or often before and after the catalytic converters. They are not on the block.Usually if they are bad, you get a "check light" and you can get free tests at Autozone, Orely, and Advance autoparts.

Horn doesn't work
it could be a fuse but most likely its the horn itself were the diaphram has dried out and not vibrating.with someone pushing on the horn button you can tap on the horn to see if it might make a noise.if it does then it needs to be replaced.you can also check for power to the horn with a test light and if it lights up when someone pushes on the button.if it does and the horns not working then again the horn needs replacing.there is a horn relay in the system but it rarely goes bad as well as the horn button rarely goes bad.
My car just clicks when i try to start it, what could be wrong?
You probably have a battery drain from a defect. circuit. Just put a
test light between the ground of the battery and the ground cable. If
you have a drain problem, the light will go on. Then you remove the
fuses one by one until the light goes out to isolate the circuit. A
electrical wiring diagram will be appreciated.
I would say it is the installers fault and that the alternator is
probably working fine, but the alternator is either hooked up wrong or
has a broke wiring harness or the belt is under driven or this is the
wrong alternator for your vehicle. or the best answer is you have a
short somewhere causing the charge from the alternator to not reach the
battery. In other words the pathway is broken. There can only be a few
answers to this question. Something is broken/loose(wiring) /installed
wrong/or the wrong part. Try the z net from autozone. It will give step
by step instructions. You need to include further information of the
vehicle(year/make/model/size engine/ if you want specific informationPull the pos strap off of the battery when the car is running, if it
dies and you know that the alternator is good you could have a short.
That could be what is killing your batteries.
Is your car
killing batteries overnight? Could have a short somewhere else and that
short just put more strain on your alternator.one way to see is to start car with nothing on in the car
an remove hot lead from battery car should stay running if it do turn
head lights on car should die Resistance in the wiring due to corrosion or poor ground. Sometimes
theres a regulator that controls the voltage and amps within the
alternator that is defective
Transmission drain plug location
there is not a drain plug, when you do a service you have to remove the pan to get fluid out and change filter. make sure you find out how many quarts to put back in. it varies from one vehicle to the next. your car uses dextron fluid or dex/merc
Location of feul pump relay
The fuel pump relay is located on the frontof the engine compartmant on the passenger side of the radiator support. they are right behind the right side headlight. they are the oval looking style relay with a white diagram printed on top. The fuel pump relay will be he one with a black, green, grey and red or orange wires going to it. if you suspect it is bad check the wiring in that vicinity first for a break in the insulation usually accompanied by some green corrosion. The grey wire is the wire that goes to the fuel pump. The green wire recieves a ground signal from the computer for 3-5 seconds when the key is turned to the on position and is ground all the time that the car is running. the fuel pump fuse is also located near the relays. you have to remove the fuse from the holder to check it. Good luck! Scott
Low voltage at fuel pump
Things to check are the relay, oil pressure switch and the wires that are with them.
The ECM will send a ground to the relay for about 2 seconds to prime the fuel system. When the motor is running the oil pressure switch should energize the fuel pump.
Autozone.com has free wire diagrams in the repair section that may help if you don't already have any.
How to remove drivers side door 1993 olds ciera
If you have any electrical controls in the door open the panel and disconnect them so you can remove teh door from the wiring harness. otherwise, open the door and support it on the outer edge away from teh hinges, use an impact driver with proper bit fitted to it, available at Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Advance Auto, or Sears (it uses a hammer to generate torque energy to break the torque in tight spots like an impact wrench) Remove the lower Hinge screws or bolts (These are usually a large Phillips head or a Half Inch bolt head), Then remove the upper retaining screws or bolts. To make it a little easy to handle if you are doing this by yourself, remove all of the screws or bolts from the lower hinge then put 1 back in a couple of turns just to hold the hinge. Repeat the process for the upper hinge. after doing this empty your hands, lift the door slightly and remove the 2 screws or bolts you put back in. after removing the door remove the hinges from the door side so you can use them in the new door.
WHERE IS THE OVERDRIVE WIRE ON A 1993 OLDSMOMILE
I never found an Overdrive Wire per say on mine. There was the Linkage and the Vacuum control, There is a solenoid in the transmission to make the shift and that is controlled by the TCM mounted on the Transmission. The column shifter has a specific position for over Drive, at least mine did, and that is connected to the linkage but no wire that I am aware of. I don't remember ever seeing any version of that vehicle with a push button for deactivating the Overdrive.
I need to know exactly
Are you a mechanic? or just guessing. first you need to verify fuel pressure and spark when it does not run, with a scanner you should read rpm if CKP is good. If someone rapped on the tank and it started I would scope the fuel pump and look at the pattern, most likely its bad, the fuel filter cant be loose, it would leak fuel. but replace it anyhow when replacing the pump.
It will start and idle
check and or replace fuel filter. if condition is still aparent, check fuel pressure at fuel rail port on intake manifold. may have a weak fuel pump if filter is ok.
