2000 Olds silhouette- Ran okay parked it and went to start it again and did not start-No noise/buzzing by the fuel pump-Replaced the fuel relay switch and fuses and it started up and ran good for two

I would say a bad Fuel Pump. It's in the gas tank. You can get a whole drop in setup for about $100 +- on ebay. U tube for installation, Be careful.

My 90oldssilhouette starts runs fine shut in off

this sounds like the engine is getting too much fuel as when you push the gas pedal all the way to the floor you are putting the system in clear flood mode shutting off the injectors so as too not allow any more fuel and then it starts. its like what you would do if it was a carburetor and the engine was flooded.

Need to check engine codes

Hi there:Code 12 - Memory standby power recently lost - Possible Causes

Battery or power line recently disconnected - This code is normal if the electrical system has been worked on or the battery has recently been disconnected. It will be removed after 15 ignition switch on/off cycles.

Low system voltage, bad battery or battery terminals - If the system recently had a power drop (due to a dead battery or bad alternator), this code will appear. If the battery terminals are bad and the engine was jumped, this code will appear. See the Diagnosing Your Charging System page for more information.

Bad connection or wiring - Check the wiring and connections between the battery, power module, and logic module (or SMEC). Check all fusible links and power connectors to the battery. Clean and regrease any corroded connectors with dielectric grease and repair any shorts.Code 32 - Logic module did not see a change in air/fuel ratio when EGR circuit was activated - Possible CausesEGR valve stuck open or closed - If the vehicle fails emmisions, then the valve may be shut. If the enigne runs poorly at low rpm or at idle, the valve may be stuck open. It may be the valve or the transducer valve. Test the transducer valve vacuum output. At idle, the transducer valve vacuum should be mostly bled, and there should be very little, if any vacuum at the output. When the engine is revved, the vacuum should increase. If the transducer is functioning properly, replace the EGR valve.

Bad EGR solenoid or Canister purge/EGR solenoid - The solenoid is located in the right, front fender next to one to three other solenoids. See the Understanding Solenoids page for information about how to test and repair solenoids.

Bad connection or wiring - Check the wiring and connections between the solenoid and the logic module (or SMEC). Clean and regrease any corroded connectors with dielectric grease and repair any shorts.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Could possibly be that the starter is not engaging the flywheel properly...the solenoid on the starter engages the gear teeth on the starter with the teeth on the flywheel...you may be able to obtain just the solenoid by itself ifthis is the case...bad thing is you will still need to remove the starter...

I have a 1990 oldsmobile silhouette. IT clicks one

Sounds like a bad ground or possible burn in the wiring harness. I would check all the factory locations for ground and make sure none of the connections have corrosion or any build up. Also you can follow the wiring harness and make sure there are no burns in it. Also take the battery in to be checked if not already done.

1995 Ols Silhouette A/C--heat fan does not blow

Replace blower motor first, and if this doesn't work the blower module could be bad.

Blowers go bad as time goes on due to electrical and physical wear and tear.

Very common problem.

Accessible at the firewall.

Why does my speedometer register two to three

The speedo is busted (more precisely the spring for the indicator needle). It can't be fixed, the unit must be replaced. BTW you don't need to buy an entire dash, it can be replaced by its own.

When battery is at full charge motor turns over

Hi, if your motor turns over ok & appears to be getting fuel, I'd probably check for spark by putting a spare plug in one of the leads & turning the engine over to see if it sparks, if it doesn't spark maybe it's your crank angle sensor/coil etc.

Leaking coolant from pipe behind throttle body..

Look for a loose water or coolant hose .
Re tighten it and you will be OK .
If the problem is that it leaks the engine gasket then you may need to reinstall new gasket but this involves a lot of work.
A good light and a good mirror is what you need to see better where the leak is coming from .

Continues cranking. Wont turn over. what s my next step?

You mean it cranks but wont start (cranking and turning over are the same thing) When cranking, rap on the fuel tank, if it then runs, the pump is bad and will need to be replaced.

DO I HAVE TO DROP FUEL TANK TO REPLACE FUEL PUMP

yes you do and it may not be something you would want to attempt at home, especially if there is alot of fuel in the tank, and you may not be able to get the vehicle far enough off the ground to get the tank out from underneath, it can also get fairly involved if you run into rusty conections or rusty tank straps, good luck and let me know if ya have any other questions.
