where do I recharge ac at
there are 2 ports one for low pressure and one for high pressure. the low pressure is bigger in diameter and is usually close to the dryer and or fender and firewall. the high pressure is near the condensor on the fron of the vehicle. if there are caps for the ports low will be blue and high will be red. low side pressure should be 35-50 psi and high pressure should be 135-150 psi

a spark plug wiring diagram for a dodge dakota

I've looked at two Dodge Dakota 4 cylinder trucks with manual transmissions. The first one had a clutch that slipped so badly it couldn't even pull away in first gear. It had done 75k miles. On the second truck, the clutch bit right at the top of the pedal travel. It didn't slip when being driven, though, and it shifted normally. When stationary, it was difficult to get the car into either first or second gear. The clutch wasn't dragging, though. The car had 116k on the clock. Are these types of problems common? Can the clutch be adjusted to bite lower on the pedal travel? Can the gear shift mechanism be adjusted in any way to engage first easier from stationary?
clutch needing replaced, very common on all manuals
pedal travel adjustment,yes
gear shift adjustment,no

The headlights keep flashing off and on after about 10 minutes. Both headlights flash off and on in unison until I cycle the light switch. Then in another few minutes they start again. The running lights are not affected. I've replaced the light switch and the fuse. This happens whether the truck is running or turned off. I noticed that when I pulled the light switch assembly out out of the dash and tested for the problem, I couldn't reproduce the issue. However, the switch box where the wire harness connects to the switch assembly gets very warm. When I replaced the assembly back to the dash, the lights began to flash within a few minutes. Is it possible that the relay box is getting hot and causing an open condition? It IS a Dodge, so I expect almost ANY kind of issue due to poor design.
try to check your relays ,may need to replace them and check all your fuses

trouble code P0420 catalyst efficiency system below threshold what do i need to do to fix this problem
The catalytic converter has an oxygen sensor in front and behind it. When the vehicle is warm and running in closed loop mode, the upstream oxygen sensor waveform reading should fluctuate. The downstream O2 sensor reading should be fairly steady. Typically the P0420 code triggers the Check Engine Light if the readings of the two sensors are similar. This is indicative of (among other things) a converter that is not working as efficiently as it should be (according to specs). It is part of the vehicle emissions system.
Symptoms: You will likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms.
Causes: A code P0420 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Leaded fuel was used where unleaded was called for
An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
The engine coolant temperature sensor is not working properly
Damaged or leaking exhaust manifold / catalytic converter / exhaust pipe
Retarded spark timing
The oxygen sensors in front and behind the converter are reporting too similar of readings
Some suggested steps for troubleshooting a P0420 error code include:
* Check for exhaust leaks at the manifold, pipes, catalytic converter. Repair as required.
* Use a scope to diagnose the oxygen sensor operation (Tip: The oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter normally has a fluctuating waveform. The waveform of the sensor behind the converter should be more steady).
* Inspect the downstream heated oxygen sensor (HO2), replace if necessary
* Replace the catalytic converter
One thing to note is that many vehicle manufacturers offer a longer warranty on emissions-related parts. So if you have a newer car but it's out of it's bumper-to-bumper warranty, there still may be warranty on this type of problem. Many manufacturers give a five year, unlimited mileage warranty on these items. It's worth checking into
Hope helps.

I just bought a 98 dakota the guy i got it from said he hadnt driven the truck much in the last year and a half and has just been sitting around. I have had a lot of oil pressure problems. I completely lost it on my way home from getting it. had it towed and replaced the sending unit. This fixed the problem for about 30 min and lost all pressure again. I did an engine flush which seemed to help a lot. Now i only loose pressure when driving and turning higher rpms around 2800-3000+ rpms. I can be idleing and rev the engine higher and wont loose all pressure just slight decrease. I think it may be a sludge problem since it has been sitting for a while or the oil pump pick up screen may be clogged. Is there any way to clean the screen without pulling or lifting the engine??? I cant do it myself and dont have the money to send it to a garage or dealer to fix. Could i shove a wire or somethign up the oil pan drain and possible reach the screen? where does the screen sit inside the oil pan? Any answers or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I personally would try pouring a bottle of Berryman's B-12 in the crankcase when it is warm and then changing the oil (which you have tried a similar approach with the flush). Or, I would add approx. 8 ounces of Sea Foam engine additive to the crankcase and drive it around for a little while to see if it helps. As a side note: You don't have to change the oil with the Sea Foam, only the B-12
