Turn signal is stuck on

Sounds like the switch INSIDE the steering column has broken. The replacement switch is probably between 60 and 100 dollars. Expensive, I know, but worth the price of sanity over the long run. Should take about an hour to replace with the proper tools.

1997 dodge avenger won;t start.

Does your engine turn over, just not fire? if it sounds like it wants too start but its not firing, try your distributor. this happened to my car last week actually, went out and bought a new dist. and it is fine now. its a big expense, so try to find one at a junk yard and they say you can take it back if its not that. thats your best bet. hope it helps.

Where is the computer on a 97 dodge avenger

The engine computer is under the hood in the front corner on the drivers side. There is also an automatic transmission computer right next to it. The engine computer is the one closest to the front of the vehicle.

They are just held in place with a couple or 3 bolts.

No spark but got power

These cars had problems with cam and crank sensors. If the computer does not see a signal from either one, the coils will not be triggered. If you can, scan the car for codes, if there is any history for either sensor, start there, otherwise try the crank sensor first.

I have fuel and my 2.2 l cranks over but won't

Are you sure about the battery? some times a bad battery will crank the car but dose not have a full charge (14.2volts) to start the car and the only way to check that is with a load test. You need a testing device like a vat40 to do that. You could take it down to a autozone / kragen type parts store and they will test for free.If you have already done this, then you have a drain on the battery so i would look at the starter, then the alternator looking for a short.

I have 97 dodge avenger

chrysler has some wired transmission. There is a relay in the fuse box called an ATX relay. It may be getting hot and losing contact. if the check engine light is on I would go to AUTO zone and ask them to pull the codes out of the computer system. There are several things that can cause this problem. Bad battery connections, lose wiring going to the transmission. U might try cleaning all the connectors with a electrical spray that helps clean the contacts. See if there are any codes in the computer than go from there. They could be historical codes..

Where is the egr located on a 1997 dodge avenger

The egr itself is on the backside of the engine closest to the firewall towards the driver side. You have to lean past the intake to get to it. The resonator is about 4-5" to the left (passenger side) of it.
