Speedometer
Crank position sensor otherwise known as engine speed sensor.
Dad has a 1992 Dodge Dakota that has power window
Start by sanding / cleaning the contacts where the fuse goes, while youre at it, why not try a new fuse, in case it looks ok, but is faultering.
If no cure, could be the switch itself, you would have to taje door oanel off and chevk the switch for corrosion or a loose wire, rust, bad ground,
Everything works better with fresh shiny clean contacts on metal
Had another fuel pump installed. now fuel gauge
DODGE DAKOTA HAD 3 DIFFERENT ENGINES BACK IN 92. ENGINES ARE 2.5 - 3.9 - 5.2 YOU COULD HAVE THE WRONG FUEL PUMP INSTALL.WHICH WILL MAKE ELECTRICAL HOOK UP DIFFERENT.THAT WILL CAUSE FUEL GAUGE NOT TO WORK.
Engine maint. light reset
OBD1 SystemThat is just a reminder & has no effect on any vehicle system (just a gadget)You need OBD1 professional scan tool softwareI had the same vehicle & the same thing happenI'm looking at my 1992 factory service manualIt is called an EMR--Emission Maintenance Reminder lightIt stores every 8 milesChecks at 60,000,82,500,120,000 miles & then sets the lightIt is for replacement of : EGR Valve,O2 Sensor,PVC Valve, etcMine only came on at 80,000 & I had & still have the scan toolI never tried any other means to clear it,haven't worked on OBD1in over 10 years, just use the scope on the old scan tool for O2 Sensor switching times
High idle

Radio fuse
Under the dash to the left of the drivers foot.
THrottle position sensor
If you don't have a scanner, you unplug the sensor and use a volt-ohm meter to check resistance. The sensor has low resistance in the closed position, and resistance goes up as you open the throttle.
Truck wont start
If you have no fuel pressure at the engine when key is on, the pump is not coming on. Check fuel pump fuse, check fuel pump relay (relay should click when key turned to on-put finger lightly on it and feel for click when someone turns key to on). If no click, signal from computer may be lost, ground for relay may be lost, or relay may be bad. If it clicks, wiring from relay to pump may have failed, or the relay's main power source may not be there at relay-find the fuse link or maxi-fuse that powers that relay. One terminal at relay should be hot at all times-can check for that with a test light. If pump is working and you do have fuel pressure, you will need to check injector circuit. Post back if questions, or need further help.
Shuts down for no apparent reason ?
Three possibilities come to mind (not sure what you mean by switch plate assembly). Ignition coil, pickup coil and ignition module. When it stalls you'll have to check to confirm there is no spark. If there is none you'll have to replace one component at a time until the problem is solved. Testing is difficult under these circumstances. If there is spark when it stalls you have a fuel problem.
