92 dakota have maintenance required lights on
First answer made by an idiot, don't answer unless you know something!. The answer is not in your owners manual. A Chrysler diagnosis machine is required to reset the light in a 1989 or later Dakota. Prior to that there is a little blue control box mounted above the e-brake that you take loose after removing the dash cover. Poke a pencil into the small reset hole on the side while the truck is running and your light will go out. Your dealer will do it for about $140!

Brakes are getting hot and locking up.
well first of all, is it happening with the front brakes or rear brakes? if the rear brakes are getting hot and locking up. this could be any number of reasons. Hot, could be because they are over adjusted and way too tight. try backing the brakes off a little bit and see how they work from there. Locking up could something completely different yet, however may still be related to the getting hot issue. When removing the brake drum, please check for any other contamination happening there. For example, check to see if ur wheel cylinder looks like its leaking or your axle seal. If either is leaking and is getting on the rear shoes, this WILL cause a lock up condition. Keep in mind, once rear brakes are contaminated, they CANNOT be cleaned up and MUST be replaced. i would also check the drums as well. If the surface where the rear brakes are touching, is all blue, that means its heat scored and not getting rid of the properly, so the shoes just lock up. good luck!
Intake plenum
the plenum is that AIR space below the Throttle body.
where is that.?
it's that thing that looks CARB like but is not.
the plenum is sized for size of engine to better low end power.
and also makes the air flow smooth so the sensors work better.
best is not to have illegal air leaks to the plenum
on MAF engines, MAF sensor, it will go lean.
