Ho do you replace the rear transmission mount on a

unbolt mount from transmission while supporting with jack. Jack up slightly. Unbolt old mount from cross member. Replace in reverse order, do final tightening with jack removed. A few vehicles require the cross member to be removed from frame to access the lower bolts/nuts.

1999 Buick Lesabre runs for a short time then will not run. After it warms a little bit it dies then won't start.

Have you tried testing anything right after it dies? Find out what's missing - spark, fuel pressure etc. Could be ignition module, crank sensor, etc. You need to find out what is missing then diagnose the system that failed.

1999 Buick Lasabre no start, no crank and no blinking security light.

You've probably fixed it by this time, but I'll offer this: There's a microswitch in the ignition lock cylinder. When you insert the key, turn it & go past the run, to start position, the PassKey module wants to see the correct resistance from the pellet in your key. If it matches the pre-programmed value, it will complete the circuit of what is known as a "Wheatstone Bridge " in the module, and allow ignition, cranking & fuel systems to operate. If it doesn't see the correct value, it will shut down for like 5 minutes or something, then reset for the next try. The problem is, that after innumerable cyclings of the key, one of the the two wires will separate internally, disabling the system totally. The two wires exit the lower end of the steering column, & are a very shiny white, and orange in color. They terminate in a connector that can be disconnected. Do that. Then take a measurement between the two exposed wires in that little black pellet on your key, with an ohmmeter & obtain a resistor of the same value. Don't worry about the wattage value of the resistor....a 1/8 watt resistor will work just fine, as there is minimal current in the circuit. Insert the resistor into the two wires that go into the wiring harness (Not the two going up into the steering column). If the microswitch was at fault, your problem is now cured, although your PassKey system is now disabled. The upside is that you can now have spare keys made from the cheap blanks without the resistor in them. Good luck.

99 Buick lesabre engine hessitation, bucking, and low idle.

I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem. I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything got it from www.reliable-store.com

Fluctuating battery voltage

Bad diodes are a common cause of alternator failure. The diodes are part of the rectifier assembly that converts the alternator's AC output to DC. The alternator's charging output flows through six diodes in the rectifier assembly before it goes to the battery and electrical system. Some may still be functional but will soon fail and the alternator will need replacing.
