I just had my brakes

If they vibrate in the front, the rotors are warped and need to be resurfaced. If it's drum brakes in the back, the problem might be the adjustment. They should adjust themselves when you back up a brake several times.

Hi it sounds like you have picked up some dirty fuel,
what you need to do now is go to your nearest garage or car spares shop and buy some decent fuel line cleaner, Red X is a good brand to buy, make sure you buy correct type for your engine ie petrol or diesel the follow instructions on the back of the bottle

how ever.
it will say pour this into a full tank of fuel, dont do this pour it into half a tank of fuel doing this makes it work a lot quicker and cleans a lot better once you have poured it in it will take about an hour to clean all the fuel lines and injectors and doing this should turn the warning light off. you could also get the fuel filter changed just to make sure it is not blocked in any way.

the fuel line cleaner will clean the whole fuel line and all the injectors it will make your car run perfect and it increases mpg, its a good idea to use this product every couple of months on vehicles of your age as it keeps them running properly and cuts down and buying spare parts such as injectors due to them being blocked.

have a go with the product and if you have any problems after just give me a shout back ok.

plz dont forget to rate as i have a long list of posts that people have not rated and its filling up my page,

let me know if you need further assistance

Battery not keeping charge - replaced

best and easiest way to test the alternator is to take it to an auto parts store... they will test the battery and charging system for free so that they can try to sell you parts

Sears will charge like $30 but give you that money back towards the price of the repair

without a load tester there is not much you can do to test the charging system correctly

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander AWD, over heats when idle

Sounds like the electric fan is not coming on. Could be the switch screwed into the radiator, a malfunctioning fan relay, a blown fan fuse or the fan motor has gone bad.

Engine code PO 0441 pd for mitsubishi outlander

This indicates that a part of the EVAP control system is no longer functioning correctly. The EVAP system consists of many parts, including the gas cap, fuel lines, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine. EVAP emission canister purge is controlled by a valve which allows engine vacuum to pull stored fuel vapors from fuel tank into the engine to be burned, rather than be vented into the environment. A vacuum switch is used to detect when flow exists. If the PCM/ECM commands purge and detects that the switch is closed, The code P0441 is set.

The most likely causes for this code will be a bad vacuum switch, broken EVAP line or canister, Restricted EVAP solenoid or canister, failed purge valve(likely culprit) or a failed PCM. A bad purge valve connector could also cause a misreading, as well. Check all these area for faults and replace the failed component.

My check engine light has just come on but the

It's coming on for a reason, even if you reset it there is a good possibility it will come on again. It would be best to find out what DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) the computer is giving you. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they will hook up a OBD II scanner to your vehicle and tell you the code is free of charge.

At what mileage should I change the timing belt on

It is suggested by any mechcanic to perform this maintenace every 80,000 miles if you properbly maintain your vehicle. That mean going by the owners manual suggestions. Also I would highly recomend changing the water pum as well for it runs off this belt and water pumps only last as long as the belt will also. If a new belt is installed without a new water pump it may fail in no time. I seen it happen more than a dozen times in the past ten years
