My brake light and battery light are on in my eclipse. Know why?

The usual reason is the alternator has failed, or the circuit from the alternator to the battery is open. There's a big fuse in the engine compartment junckion box that sometimes blows.

Valve adjustment

tiburon uses hydrolic lash adjusters there are no valve lash adjusting If you hearing a pecking sound on the top of the mtr try some oil additive or replace the hydrolic lash adjusters

Use the + and - to shift up or down through the gears when driving if you want to.

Want to bypass your vehicle security system? The short answer is you can't!

All modern cars have alarms and immobilizers. There is a chip in the key and a chip in the ignition lock. If both are present, the ECM (engine control module) releases power to the ignition circuit. When you turn the key, the starter spins the engine and you get a spark. If any one of those three items are not in the chain, you get the engine to turn, but no spark. There is no way to beat the system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it.

The immobilizer is in place to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

Save some time. Your stereo does not need to know when the parking brake is on. Just leave the wire disconnected.

The screeching noise is most likely the alternator belt slipping. The higher RPM suggests that alternator may have failed. There is a second belt for the AC. If the alternator belt is self destructing, be aware that it runs the water pump as well, and the engine may overheat. Have the engine checked ASAP.

POSSIBLE FIXES TO CORRECT 401 CODE ON 2001 ECLIPSE

Is the solenoid opening to provide vacuum to the egr valve? Does the egr valve open when vacuum is applied? There are some tests posted at the link below.
