1995 Mitsubishi Mirage Questions & Answers
My mitsubishi mirage is 1.5L. The engine revs
Could be multiple. I would look for bad Motor Mounts or Worn Shifter Linkage Components, to address the Transmission Issues. The Idle Issue could be an Idle Air Control Valve. 1995 is before OBD2. So, Check Engine Lights are useful, but not as much as they are 1996 and up.You didn't mention a Light on. Get a Repair Manual. You are going to need it.
Repair shop say I need Automatic Compressor
everything but get help from an ac specialist shop
you did not use a vacuum pump to get the air out of the system , That is one fault
the compressor will start to pump once the freon pressure reaches high enough to activate the low pressure switch
freon is put in using pressure gauges
the part mentioned may be the climate control module as it controls the ac compressor along with the heater to control cabin temp

before you go any further
pull the oil filler cap from the rocker cover and see if the cam shaft and rockers are moving when you are cranking it over
suspect a broken timing belt as that will not allow any spark

Anytime you replace a sensor or ignition parts on a Mitsubishi, (also have a 95 Mirage) the whole **** thing goes out of whack and won't start. Have to reset the ECC (ECM) supposedly by allowing it to drain of juice (disconnect both battery cables for about a day) See if this works for you
Which mark is the five degree mark for the ignition timing
. I was reading on the net( stop-the-star- program.3084.x6.nabble.com that the initial program is for 5 degrees advanced but all shops state that the reading from the plug lead is 10 degrees -even new vehilces and it is set by the ECM program

How to change out flasher fuse
Here ya go...please don't forget to rate!
1997–00 Mirage engine compartment fuse location chart
The turn signal and hazard flasher unit is located in the interior fuse panel located under the driver's left side knee protector. They are replaced by simply pulling them straight out. Note that the prongs are arranged in such a way that the flasher must be properly oriented before attempting to install it. Turn the flasher until the orientation of the prongs is correct and simply push it firmly in until the prongs are fully engaged
