We have a 1992 Pajero (Montero) and she sounds as
Take some time to check the compression in all of the cylinders; make sure there all up to spec. Other are may be fuel delivery too. As it is a 1992 (I'm guessing a 3.0 liter as it would be here in the USA) the injectors may be getting tired too. You can take a listening device and, while the engine is running, place it against the injectors. You should hear a slight click as the injector opens/closes; this will increase with the engine RPMs. I must warn though even if you hear the click the injector may not be getting proper fuel delivery or spray which too will lead to a miss or poor engine firing.
I hope this may have helped (from an owner with a 1990 Montero with 280K miles on her)

Engine problem
when the heads crack, there is a very strong possibility of water and coolant entering your engine block. what that will do is interfere with the motor oil and prevent it from properly lubricating high stress parts. the speed that the water leaks in and the amount of time it takes to do damage depend on how bad the head is cracked and how hard the car is being driven. alot of the time if this happens the driver will hear the engine knocking, or notice the engine overheating. if it was driven for 10k without any very noticable problems, then I wouldnt be too concerned about other damages. just dont run the car anymore untill you have the problem fixed. and be sure the tech fixing it also does an oil change to get rid of water in the engine.
Shogun timing marks 2.5td mk2
the timing marks are on casing for the botttom and the one for the top is on the pump pully and the back belt marking are on the casing thanks brian
Will not start
Have you verified that the engine IS turning the distributor by removing the distributor cap, and cranking the engine, seeing if the rotor that's mounted on the dist. shaft is rotating around? If it isn't turning while you crank the engine, then your timing belt may have broken.
Mitsubishi uses a rubber timing belt on this engine with a 60k replacement interval usually.
Remember, no rotation of the distributor shaft which is driven off the camshaft means no spark since the sensor inside the dist. won't function from a lack of movement.
If you DO have the rotor turning with a cranking engine, then make sure the coil is getting power. You may need to do an ohm check of the wires from the distributor to the engine ecu if nothing easy pops up during diagnoses.
Also make sure the coil and the ignition module that's mounted VERY near it are getting a good ground from the bracket that they're bolted to on top of the engine. Unbolt the bracket and use a wire brush to clean the underside of the bracket and the portion of the intake manifold if you're not sure. It may not help, but it's cheap insurance down the road since neglected grounds are the rule, not the exception on aging vehicles.
I have replaced the front
housing is out of position, gasket for housing ,not actually leaking out of seal ,most likely is end of crank shaft worn with a groove.sorry new seal if you cant get seal out without damaging it.try for another seal but from motor factor with two lips ???if not then use araldite to hold seal in place and dont knock it right home try for about halfway.and dont forget to grease shaft before fitting seal
Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed 1997 Model
I solve this problem with Mitshubishi Pajero GDI 6G74 like this: remove the two little filters from the high pressure pump and ,if necessary, insert a external gasoline filter.
My mitsubishi 4D56 wouldn't start
did you purge the air from the fuel system, or try to start it with ether? you may want to check the timing again if no fuel is being supplied to the engine.
Can a 2013 Mitsubishi Montero V98 model's brake master pump be replaced with that of V93?
Yes, a 2013 Mitsubishi Montero V98 model's brake master pump can be replaced with that of V93. The main difference between the two models is that the V98 has a built-in reservoir, while the V93 does not. Aside from that, they are functionally identical. So if you're comfortable doing a little DIY work, the swap is a relatively easy one. Just make sure to get the correct pump for your vehicle's year and model. Happy motoring!
