It is the most common problem of all vehicles with power locks or power windows, a wire has folded back and forth for 10 years in the door hinge area until it got stretched and broken. Possibley many wires. In your case only 7 years.

you may have to reset the engine light. These cars are all computerized. Call the dealership and tell them that you had to replace the gas cap as it was faulty and caused your check engine light to come on. Ask them if they can reset the "computer" or if they can tell you how to do it (if that is possible).

Don't know if that will work, but my dad has been in the car business for over 35 years - I tend to listen to most the things he says......

Start by checking to make sure you have proper power and ground to the alternator.

any time the check engine light is flashing the engine is miss firing, most likly cause is spark plug wires or colis, but also check the wiring harness from the crankshaft sensor to the ignation module they have a bad problem with coming out of the wiring lume and geting melted on the rear exhust manafold...good luck

Above the bellhousing at the rear of the engine compartment, almost right above the TXV (or where the two lines enter the cabin). The high pressure is harder to see as it's pointing straight up just behind the air filter housing, above the frame rail.

neutral safety switches are for older vehicles, your impala has an IMS (internal mode switch) which is inside the transmission

Do you have access to a scantool or code reader? Many things can cause a crank no start condition, we need to narrow down what direction to go.

Follow these steps to reset the security system on your 2006 Impala: • Get in the driver's seat, and put the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position • Let it be in the same position for 10 minutes • Repeat the process two more times, and the security system will stop acting up. Remember, if your light power up with the ignition and not with a separate lever, you would have to put a charger on the battery as 30 minutes of this process may drain it out of a reasonable amount of juice.

First fold down the rear head restraints by pressing the button on the side of the head restraint. Now you can fold your seat down in either of these two ways: 1. Pull the button on the top of the seat to unlock it from its position; you will notice a raised tab when the seat is unlocked 2. CAL stands for Calibrate. The IPC (instrument panel cluster) needs to be recalibrated. This could becaused by a battery/power spike, which means the IPC will need to relearn default settings, or therecould be an underlying problem. Technician will need to hook it up to a computer to analyze problem,and relearn settings.
