How do I check Throttle Body and Vaccum leaks?

Find and remove and clean your IAC valve..use MAF cleaner...you need to remove two torque screws..takes 10 minutes...spray the valve to remove all carbon...reinstall and drive car for 10 minutes to adjust..do not run lights, radio or anything else until you return and park..valve had what is called a pintle with spring around it...make sure to spray every part of the pintle and wipe in a straight motion with clean rag...cheers

Car will turn over but will not start 2005 aveo

Suggest look under the hood for any wires or connectors you might have bumped loose while repairing the MAP sensor. Check to see that you are getting a spark to the plugs. Use care because you are dealing with high voltage and could get zapped. If still same problem suggest obtain a good Volt/Ohm meter and trace-out your circuits to find the problem. Shop manual with wiring diagrams is a must have for this. Sometimes they are available online for free as a PDF file. Be safe when working with electrical parts.

2006 aveo throttle body issues

What engine does it have ? Could have come with 5 different ones . If it has the 1.6 L engine . has electronic throttle control. The throttle actuator control (TAC) system is used to improve emissions, fuel economy, and driveability. The TAC system eliminates the mechanical link between the accelerator pedal and the throttle plate. The TAC system eliminates the need for a cruise control module and idle air control motor. The following is a list of TAC system components: • The accelerator pedal assembly includes the following components: - The accelerator pedal - The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1 - The APP sensor 2 • The throttle body assembly includes the following components: - The throttle position (TP) sensor 1 - The TP sensor 2 - The throttle actuator motor - The throttle plate • The engine control module (ECM Check engine light lit ?

2006 Chevy Aveo Acceleration Issues??

If it was running properly before you changed the spark plugs and wires, check to be sure you have the wires routed properly from the coils to the plugs - correct wires on correct coils. It sounds like you may have a couple of wires crossed. Also, some engines are particular about the type of spark plug used. Check with your local Chevrolet dealer to see if the type plugs you used have been known to cause problems with the engine.

Aveo radiator fan FUSE

You never replace a fuse that blows with a higher amp one . That's a good way to set your car on fire ,melting wiring etc.... The fan isn't blowing harder ,drawing to much current . lower resistance in the circuit . Why is all this happening.????? Because you have electrical problems . Do voltage drop testing on the problem circuits , testing with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Where did you fine this fuse for The radiator fan is blowing to hard and is killing the fuse.So went from a 10 to a 15. My service info states it take's a 30 amp fuse . An it has two cooling fan relay , an a droping resistor . Unless your mixed up on your fan's , Heater blower motor fan ? From reading your post , i'd say you don't know anything about automotive repair . Suggest you take your vehicle to the dealer . We know your vehicle better then anyone else .

My 2006 chevy aveo displaying check engine light.

Oh My God. Talk to an honest mechanic! You probably have a bad oxygen sensor. It will cost you about $45 dollars for a new one. You can change it yourself. It is the oxygen sensor that is located just to the rear of the catalytic converter. replace it and have the codes cleared at an auto parts store. If the code comes back, then you may need to replace the oxygen sensor that is on the engine exhaust. An auto parts store can look at the voltage of each oxygen sensor and tell you which one is bad. Each oxygen sensor should be bouncing around on the voltage and should frequently be at around .7 volts. If one of them is at .1 or .2 volts, that is the bad one. Buy that one and replace it. Very simple. DO NOT DO THE $1400 repair. That repair shop is trying to take you. Hope this helps.

1.5l. What are torque settings?

Torque settings are the amount in foot pounds, inch pounds, or Newton meters that you should tighten a bolt, nut, or fastener. Too tight it will break, too loose it will come apart.
