I have a 2002 buick century and one of my relay
I have had a couple of problems with a 40 amp relay/fuse blow and the car not starting. Replaced and it started. Have replacement relays in all 3 of our Centurys, 2001 thru 2003 and have not have not had a problem since. If yours continues, likely have a short someplace.
How to replace wheel lug studs
Front or rear is pretty much the same. Remove the tire. The hub usually has a hole so that the stud can come out the back. Get a small sledge hammer and pound it out. Install the new one from behind and use a lug nut to seat it.
Changing blower motor resister ?
It's under the dash on the passenger side. First remove the insulator panel under the dash to locate the blower motor and the resistor pack close to it, but screwed into the heater case. Remove the two screws and unplug the electrical connector- a 4 or 5 wire connector.
What is an evaporative emission system vent control circuit
Do you have a check engine light? If so go to AZone or AV auto or P Boys have them find out what code. The "evaporative" control in General is a small coffee can looking device, probably under your air filter box that essentially is a charcoal filter that filters emmmisons. You could have a pluged filter which would have to be replaced but more likely you have a vacuum leak in about 100different places. Take a real good look at every vacuum/air line U can find. I it looks cracked or rotted U could duck tape it the secure it with zip tie. In old cars very common. I you have pick a part style junk yard, go and pick a bunch of different vac houses and connectors that look good a replace anthing that looks suspect of leak. In addition shine a light into every connector you get .I had one that ran to the transmmision that had a little screen inside tha was plugged. Use ariesol brake cleaner and clean ,zip tie every thing, good luck Bret
How to replace broken lug stud on front wheel
You can either remove the bearing, or what I do is. On the front/top of the spindle, I grind away a little of the spindle. Just enough to get the lug out. You see where to grind. You can knock the lug out with a hammer, but can't get it out of the way without grinding. Reinsert the new lug. I use a bigger nut to go over the lug, then use a lug nut to seat it into place.
Car won't accelerate runs rough
First two things I would try to replace as they are cheap and very viable causes would be fuel filter, and spark plugs and wires.
Where is the starter located
Here you go, the starter is located on the driver's side of the engine, at the front. And there are two bolts that connect the starter to the flywheel of the transmission. It is also a very easy job to change an old starter for a new one. Any gargage mechanic can do it. Best of luck to you.
