2006 Dodge Caravan 2.4L engine... after timing belt was changed other problems.... any ideas what could be the problem?
Never once in your story did you say the vehicle when it was in
the repair shop was actually properly diagnosed, nor was any
testing done that actually found any problems
That is & was the main problem
No one has done anything but throw parts at codes
Common sense tells you most if not all of the parts replaced
did not fail, isn't possible at all
You also keep saying the problem-what problem
Codes have nothing to do with replacing parts at all
Codes as used to test systems that set the codes, that doesn't
appear to have been done
You have to know the problem, when & under what conditions it occurs & the broken timing belt may be some how related
Also the vehicle sat for 5 months with old fuel in the tank
You need a fresh start & a new shop that knows how to test
a vehicle
Have these shops actually gone for a road test before & after
any work was done & looked at data & driven 20 miles or more?
Have you driven the vehicle with a mechanic along for the ride
until it acts up,without that, you have little chance they even care
to get involved,at least the parts installers you have been to
The panic alarm will not shut off
Pop open your key fob with a knife and if it don;t shut off i would be surprized. The rubber sometimes cracks and allows foreign matter to cause the buttons to stick. If that dont work take the round watch battery out that way you will know if it is in the fob and not something in the van.
Pump noise solutions
Sometimes if pumps ever went empty they still whine, replacing with a new one is the only solution I know of.
I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan and am getting a gas
in USA? why not say at the very least where on earth you arenot neighbood, but the COUNTRY.Ill answer in USA as Im there, and the EVAP is complex here.worst case.you plug in a scan too, you scan the ECU,and do you get DCT's there are many for EVAP.the smog stations here put on pressure test on the filler neckand can tell you in under 10second, hey fella? the EVAP system is breached (vent leaks)look for pending DTCs too, and freeze frame.the freeze frame will store the last fail, in case you missed it.you have tank vent failure and all usa cars get real upset with those. DTC'S a bunch.DTC = diagnostic trouble codes.a scan tool is as low as $7 , they can be rented too. etc./.........
