Is the battery ignition light coming on when you turn the key on. Wiring for an alternator is quite simple, the 60amp cable (thick wire) is a direct feed to the battery. The thin wire (normally blue) connected to the 'ing' terminal gets a live feed via the battery ignition light. if the bulb has blown or this wire is not connected, the alternator will not charge. If you can, use a 12v 5watt test light connected to the battery, start the engine and touch the 'ing' terminal. this should prove and energies the alternator to start charging.

Vapor lock is when an engine with a carburetor gets so hot the liquid gasoline in the fuel line vaporizes.Cars with fuel injection use pressurized fuel lines and are almost impossible to vapor lock.

The first thing you need to do is run and electronic engine control fault code test. To learn how to do that go here.

There is a latch under the dash along the left side wall. Just pull it up and it will release the hood. Then go outside and push the entire hood forward and then up.

you may have a leak in the clutch slave

could be a problem in the wiper motor it may have a short

I would have it towed to a trusted shop in your area. What can be done is have the line cut and brass fittings can be installed to repair this line. It does take special tools and someone skilled at doing this or it will continue to leak and cause a potential safety hazard. This really shouldn't cost any more than $100 and I think that is high. What you are looking for is considered a "91 BCI Group" battery. Assure when shopping that you get that size specification as well as a minimum of 700 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) to meet OE specification.

you may have a bad igniton switch, or connector

replace fuel pump. you never run out of gas in a BMW...what's wrong with you? It breaks the fuel pump. It's against the BMW code to sit there on the side of the road waiting for bubba and his towtruck and red can of gas. BMW.....come on. you're supposed to have enough money to buy gas. Anyway, the penalty for going against the bmw code of looking like Jed Clampett on the side of the road for gas is: A broken fuel pump.

No it sounds like a problem with the lock cylinder. Spray some WD40 in the key hole and move the key in and out a few times then try it. If it doesn't work you might have to replace the lock cylinder. Also you could try a different key.

22 and 23 they are both 7.5 amps

a shop will charge about $250 and above per door just depending the nature of the problem...

I have a 1985 BMW 735I, the drivers door lock heater is stuck in the on position. How do we get it off??

If you buy a new set of w/blades it will tell you on the back of the box ..
So go into the spare parts in any car spares and look for the box turn it over and read all instructions and you can do it your self in 20 minutes.
