Hello Chrisite, I'll assume you still have the air compressor which activates to automatically level your vehicle. When the air bags get old, they leak and need to be replaced. If you do not do it early, you will overwork the compressor and it will fail. Mine went out shortly after the air bags started leaking as it was coming on way too often. I got new air bags and a rebuilt compressor but the compressor failed within a few months. A new one was too expensive. I went to a website called Trailvoy.com and read about many that have had the same problems. One post explained how to cure this. So I chose not to mess with the compressor anymore and followed their instructions and made a bypass so I can fill the air bags myself from the air valve in the rear of the vehicle. I keep a portable compressor in the back just in case and it plugs into the 12v power port in the back. Pressure is best at 55 lbs. The air bags are rubber and eventually, due to weather conditions, they start to crack. If one is leaking, the second is soon to follow. When they can no longer hold air, the rear of the vehicle will sag way down and bounce when you drive it. It's not only annoying, it is unsafe. Trailvoy is a forum for Trailblazer, Envoy & Bravada owners. Our model (2002 Bravada) is on the same platform as these others while Envoy offered a V8 engine also. (we have the 6 cylinder). It costs nothing to join the site and you can get all sorts of helpful info regarding your vehicle. Many master mechanics belong to it so you'll get great advise if you ask questions. Michael

How to remove a battery

Check your Owner's Manual for any special proceedures regarding antitheft features that need to be addressed before disconnecting the battery. Always make sure the keys are OUT OF THE CAR before you start. Anything obstructing your access to the battery must be removed. Always remove the negative terminal of the battery FIRST. There will be a "hold down" feature that securely holds the battery in place- either a strap or bar across the top of the battery, or a claw type clamp that kinda bites into side of the battery at the bottom. You have to remove "hold down". Old battery out, new battery in. Alway attach the negative terminal to the battery after the positive terminal. (Negative cable- off first, on last)

The engine fan stays on all the time. Sounds like a tractor trailer fan when it kicks in. How to fix?

Your fan clutch is shot. Unit needs to be replaced. The original part had serious issues but has been upgraded. Make sure you get the newer type unit. When parked & cold, you should be able to easily turn the fan. If you cannot, the unit is bad.

Car Battery

You have probably triggered the antitheft system.

Relearn Procedure

  1. Turn the key on, with the engine OFF.
  2. Try to start the engine, then release the key to ON, Engine will not start.
  3. Watch the security telltale, after about 10 mins, it will turn OFF.
  4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. You must turn the ignition OFF for 30 seconds before attempting to start the vehicle after the 3 cycles. Then start the engine . If that doesn't work go to this link http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Chevy door panel remove

Many door panels are held on by nylon snap-in-place 'doohickeys'. It takes a bit of prying, and I usually start along the bottom of the door. Once you get started it gets easier. Special (inexpensive) pry tools are available in automotive supply shops, or even Harbor Freight. These afore-mentioned doohickeys do have a habit of breaking from time to time, but again replacements can be purchased at O'Reilly's, AutoZone, etc.
