Abs brake light

The Brakes may seem to work okey, but you have anABS Braking System light on- indicating a system fault, just like any other check light you getDo you not check for codes almost the same day any dash light or check light comes on?It will bite you some day-- if you ignore the reason they are there

You need a repair shop to use the code to diagnose the issueCodes only indicate a fault has been detected & a code setThey don't tell you what is wrong or to replace anythingComponent testing will indicate the presence of a problem

My sercurity light is on. indicated on my dashboard my car was last started 2 weeks ago what could the problem be.

Cluster warning lights

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS, MIL, CEL and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System, MIL Malfunction Indicator Lamp, CEL Check Engine Light.

Having problems with my 2001 oldsmobile aurora RPMs. When at a red light or when my RPMs drop below 1500 it will cut power and stall out everything but my brakes lock up. When on the highway RPMs will

Not sure here to be totally honest and without a play myself it will be dificult to answer but i suspect the idle control motor ,this is a valve controlled by the computer thats on the inlet manifold and lets in more of less air depending on amount required by the engine ,it normally looks like a smallish round thing with a multiplug with 4 wires in it and this is controlling the idle ,now another thing in extreme circumstances it the diaghrapm in the brake servo is split and your losing vacumn through this causing the engine not to idle but if this is the case you should hear it but try closing the feed pipe if possible with a pair of mulgrips but if its a black telcalmit plastic pipe then pull the end out of the servo and put a cork in it or assistant to hold finder on the end whilst you start the engine.

Dual climate control not working properly

mine done similar, blowr vents would come on and off as it chose randomly, it was the Air Conditioning Power Module Part No 20956 . located close to firewall on passenger side under glove box asiest way to replace is take glov box out, 6 to8 7 mm socketscrews, bottom panel comes down remove the bulb and temp sensor wire plugs, set out of the way, once you have remove glovebox (pll straight back} and set out of way, now you can ee it in behind another electrical plug, n\but oce you remove the top screw, you will need to turn and pull up, unplug the connections on the power module and out, replace, and plug back up. put top screw back in, and test, once you verify it works complete putting glove box, and screws, the panel and screws(don't forget to plug the light ana temp sens back tighten all bolts. ((seems like tkes long time by instructions, but in reality it only took abt 20 min out and back in running) part cost 159 @ advance, but if you order on line, and use code visa you get 50.00 off, cost me 103 and some change w/free delivery if visa code does'nt work ,use FABU that's for 40 dollars off. now all works well both side dual climate controls, and steering wheel controls too.

Ac vent blower

proceed according and fix it. God bless youIf so, the compressor is working and the A/C system probably contains enough refrigerant to make cold air, so the problem is inside the HVAC unit. Replace the motor that controls the blend air door (this is a difficult job and best left to a professional since it involves tearing apart the HVAC unit -- about an 8 to 10 hour job!). If the compressor does not engage when you turn on the A/C, see if it will run by jumping the compressor clutch wire directly to the battery (use a fused jumper wire). If the compressor works when you jump it, and the A/C blows cold air, the system contains refrigerant and the fault is likely a bad A/C compressor clutch relay or a bad clutch cycling switch or pressure switch. If the compressor does not engage when you jump it, the problem is a bad compressor clutch. If the clutch engages but the compressor does not turn (the belt will start to slip and squeal), the compressor is locked up and you need a new compressor. If the compressor clutch engages and turns the compressor, but the A/C still does not blow cold air, the system is probably low on refrigerant and needs to be recharged10_5_2012_12_14_20_pm.jpg

My air conditioning won't work on my 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

There is a relay and a low pressure switch as well as a controller in the circuit. You would need to backtrack from the compressor clutch to check for voltage in the circuit. You may need a shop manual to get the necessary wiring diagrams.
