Most common issue is the camshaft sensor.

I haven't worked on one for several years. If I remember correctly there is a black button switch for each door. That button has a small center piece that can slide in and out to allow for slight variations in the body of the car. You should be able to figure out which one is the culprit by going to each one at a time and pressing in on that black button. With all doors closed, when you press on the one that is acting up, the light should go off. If not, just get a pick or needle nose plier and pull the slide out (gently) on all the buttons. Now when you close the doors it should allow the slide to remain out far enough turn off the switch. It could have been pressed in by accident or someone really slammed a door harder than necessary which depressed the switch too far inward.

The 1st thing that needs to be done here is to have the PCM (powertrain control module) scanned for both active and stored codes as well as a running test.

One of three things ether the pressure plate is bad are clutch plates worn out and last the throw out bearing is bad. Yes that is what it is called a throw out bearing because the only thing you can do with it is throw it away and replace it :-)

Your power brake vacuum booster has failed. That vacuum leak is causing the engine to stall out. Google youtube for a video of replacing the power brake booster in your 2003 Neon.

You take the whole assembly off and then replace the individual injectors. The assembly is the fuel rail and the injectors attached to it.

is it grinding when you try? try to turn car off hold in clutch put into reverse and then start car
if it pops right out you need to get it to a transmission shop.
i recently replaced a transmission in an SXT that had no reverse, all it would do it grind and pop back out

If you are getting computer codes on this, one way to validate that this is the sensor is to disconnect the fuel vapor line (look on the firewall for a plastic hose going into rubber fittings). Then plug the line with a firm fitting screw-driver (or similar). Start the engine - if your computer doesn't report any issues (no check engine light), then you probably have a problem with the purge valve solenoid. Mine appears to be on the firewall below the brake booster - I had to pull the tray for the battery to get to it comfortably...
