Have you tried to see if there is access underneath to that bulb ?

This vehicle is pretty simple, Pop your trunk to gain access to the rear of the car, there should be some sort of clips, the normally screw off, holding the upholtery to the the back of the lamp assembly, pull the carpeting away from the tail lamp assembly, and the bulbs are attached to an L shaped electric connector, Twist counter clockwise and they should pull right out.

it sounds like the clutches may be out on the tranny..as far as the knocking it could be a rod trying to go out on the car id start looking for another car

i presume you mean the blade... just to give you better access... turn on the key.... turn on the wiper... when it gets where you want... shut off the key

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. You have to test when problem is ongoing. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Check fuel injector pulse. let us know what you find?

Check your fuses underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the plastic cover over and there will be a diagram showing the fuse that controls the taillights/stoplamp. Pull the fuse out and replace it with the same number fuse and your taillights and brake lights will work again. If the fuses are ok, pull each taillight bulb out and replace it with a new bulb. Sometimes when one light bulb fails, all of them will fail.

The torque convertor clutch solenoid is inside the transmission. It is behind the lh transmission cover plate. Not exactly an easy fix for someone. A decent garage should charge you about $400-600 to replace, Beware- they will probably try to sell you a whole transmission overhaul!!

I would try the largest pair of Vise Grips I could fit in there. I assume you have a digital dash. You need to check the car's owners manual to see if that's possible for your particular vehicle (they are available online).

Check the crank shaft sensor, also the wires to the sensor.
