All bmw x3 have immobilizer and alarm system.
To check,lock car with remote
Unlock with key and open door alarm should activate
To stop alarm, shut door press remote.

usualy remove the screws from around the light it self the whole light asembly will pull away exposing the bulbs

fuse.....or relay.

Run 12v direct from the battery to the fan bypassing both the fuse and relay to see if the fan itself is good or bad. disconnect the plug from the fan to the rest of the car to isolate just the fan to the battery.

switch ignition on, push scroller on top of indicator stalk untill clock appears,Press end of stalk to reset

Remove headliner.
NOTE:
- Close glass slide/tilt sunroof lid.
- Move front seats backwards/downwards as far as possible.
- Remove glass slide/tilt sunroof with aid of a second person helping.

Detach all water drain hoses (1).
Disconnect plug connection from glass sunroof drive.

Release screws (1) and remove glass sunroof frame (2).
Installation:
6AZ Cassette to body
M6 x 14 ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... 5.2 Nm


NOTE:
- In production, the screws (1) are secured with the washers (2) by robots.
- In hand assembly, the washers (2) are not fitted.

Open glass sunroof lid.
Press down wind deflector (1). Release screws (2).
Remove spring (3) on left/right and wind deflector (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque. 54 12 7AZ.

Installation:
If necessary, replace faulty spring (1) and screw (2).

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove glass sunroof lid.


Unhook lever (2) of water gutter on left/right from rail (1).
Installation:
Make sure lever (1) is correctly locked.


Pull water gutter forwards until roller (2) can be seen through opening in guide channel (3).
Lever (1):
- on right side to be pulled upwards
- on left side to be unhooked from guide channel


Installation:
Following parts of water gutter must not be missing or damaged:
1 Roller
2 Lock
3 Rubber seal
Check function.

i have a bmw , 1 series, i have just put air in my tyres and there is now a warning light on the dashboard, have i over inflated my tyres?

If everything else checks out, I would look at the anti theft system. Your car has a factory installed anti theft system that also includes an ignition kill. I would have the system checked. Check your owners manual, there might be a chapter in it concerning the theft system.

When servicing ac systems they are charged according to pressure. If you don't know how much refrigerant to put in i don't recommend you attempt it. The system can be damaged if it is overcharged.

Might be a good idea to get a 2nd opinion..

go on ebay and purchase a repair manual disk it will have an electrical locator schematic on it

Not importantly if they had it might feel jumbling on the road .. this could be the problem to tyr of the car if they do not have equal amount of air them the car loses balance..

If your belt keeps coming off, you either have a pulley out of alignment, bad belt tensioner, or a combination of the two. I would first verify that your belt tensioner is till good and then put the belt back on and visually check the alignment. You should be able to take a 3/8 ratchet and pull your tensioner back, allowing enouch slack in the belt, that you can route it back on the pulleys. I'm assuming it has a serpentine belt?

the crankshaft sensor is located under the starter motor, you will have to remove the air intake manifold to gain access to replace the sensor, if you are not sure how to carry out this repair it would be better to get a local garage to do it, regards mark

Verify that the alternator is charging at 12.9 to 15.5 volts in order for the system to keep enough voltage available for all demands. If the voltage drops too low or you have a bad cell in the battery it will cause a miss or loss of voltage to non essential systems in order to limp home. Have the charging system checked at a local autozone or oreillys. They can do this service quick and most times no cost to you. Hint though that if they do it that you purchase the battery there snd build a rapport in order to receive a better price on parts in the futurev
