How to fix code P0604??
Hello! a P0604 is telling you that one of the control modules, the Integrated Chassis Management (ICM) module has an internal Random Access Memory (RAM) error....Take it to an authorized BMW dealer and have a diagnostic run on the module...May only need to be "flashed" (software re-load)...

Bmw 523i se heater blows hot and cold
Sounds like a thermostat sticking. Some things to do. First check coolant level is up and moving. Second (most likely), change thermostat. Very easy fix for backyard mechanic. Make sure to put thermostat in so water flow is correct direction. Look for arrow on side of thermostat. Next, is belt to water pump loose. Another easy fix in most cars.

How do I check the oil
Hi gina. Their no easy way to check the oil level on these cars. sadly BMW decided not add a dip stick for the easy pull the stick and check it. you have to rely on the oil level sensor, if its low you should get a oil level warning light on your dash. not to be confused with the service light. hope this helps.

Having overheating episodes on my 2001 bmw525i
Hi, over heating is caused from one of the basic issues. Not listed in a particular order. 1.A leaking or dirty radiator. 2.A def water pump. 3.A faulty thermostat. 4.Elec fans not comming on. 5.def. temp sender. 6.Def.radiator cap. Those are the areas you need investigate. I would start with the radiator, they usually get clogged. Good hunting.

The fuel pump doesnt kick on when turning the key on
If you can hear the fuel pump, it is getting voltage. But the change in it's normal sound/tone that it makes has me more concerned with the pump itself. Sometimes the pump gives you clues that it's about to fail, but not always. The sound change is an indicator something is wrong inside the fuel tank. Have you done a pressure and volume check yet? That's the only sure method to see if the pump is working properly. If you do have a failing pump, I would highly recommend replace the filter too! It's cheap and will save you a lot of headaches if they're done at the same time
