I have an 03 and around 30,000 miles the same thing happened to me . I took it to the dealer and the replaces the idler pully wich is what was making the noise .hope this helps you

You've got a circuit problem. Check your electric system. Computer scanning might help to pinpoint problem

TFT is Transmission Fluid Temperature. Check your ATF level. Check the wiring harness that goes i to the transmission for proper connection. Hello Eric, If you'd care to elaborate... I have a bunch of Lincoln books... Can you elaborate on your trouble. If you cooling system is throwing some warning... about coolant either your ENTIRE system level is to low or you have a leak between your fill reservoir (recovery tank (at firewall)) and your radiator. My best suggestion would be to beg, borrow or buy a cooling system tester (see below) and do a cold pressure test of your system (leaks are MUCH MORE OBVIOUS) without the engine running... you can try to bleed the brakes at all the calipers several times until the fluid is clean coming out the bleeder screws.it sounds like when you pushed the pistons back into the calipers you pushed dirt back through the system and has lodged in the abs hydraulic unit causing the light to come on.you say the abs light is still on does this mean it was on before you replaced the brakes.if so then you had a code in the abs controller that should have been checked before and repaired.when the abs sets code it automatically shuts down the traction control and all wheel drive because of the abs light being on.

If your doing it yourself, you are saving a lot of money. You need a manual to do it. You have to remove the console and other pieces close to it. There are hidden screws and bolts to remove. An extra $30 is money well spent. Plus the manual will help with future repairs. You can get them at parts stores.

Sounds like the transmission, and when did you last check the fluids? If it is a stick shift then the linkages are gone/wore out. But it's amazing how quickly a car can go from working to not.

In my Lincoln L/S, the first one lasted 3 1/2 years & was done under warranty Second one lasted 5 years Now that one failed two weeks ago at 20 months In my case the battery is in the trunk & you can't find a battery with a vent for that car & ford batteries are on odd size, just for their design or group size,go figure The Motorcraft Max is free for 3 years & pro rated for 100 months, so not a bad deal. Disconnect the electrical connection to relieve the system's pressure. Start the Navigator and let the engine run until it stalls from lack of gasoline. Turn off the ignition, reconnect the pump's electrical connection and disconnect the negative battery cable.

Step 2 Detach the fuel pressure sensor vacuum hose. Check for fuel in the line. If there is fuel present in the line, the fuel delivery problem is likely caused by a faulty fuel pump pressure regulator. If there is no fuel in the line, reattach the vacuum hose and continue with the fuel delivery diagnostic.

Step 3 Twist off the fuel pressure test port cap and secure a pressure gauge to the fuel pressure valve. Reconnect the negative battery cable and start the engine. The pressure gauge needs to read 45 psi when at wide open throttle. High pressure readings indicate a malfunctioning pressure regulator. Low pressure readings indicate a clogged fuel filter or a broken fuel pump.

Step 4 Cut the engine. Relieve system pressure and remove the negative battery cable again so you can safely remove the fuel filter to check for clogs.

Step 5 Loosen the filter fittings and unhook the fuel lines from the filter. Undo and remove the bracket on the fuel filter.

Step 6 Inspect the filter for clogs and replace it with a new one if necessary. If there are no clogs, the fuel delivery problem is probably a faulty fuel pump.
