Connectors are sometimes hard to get too, but that would be the first place to look...expecially the ground. I like to look for any wire that is going into the connector that may have worked its way out of the back of the connector. I like to use diaelectrical grease when reinstalling the connecter; however, keep in mind that if a short is caused as a result of a bad connecter; this can damage the unit and may require replacing it or having an experience Tech to replace it.
