I have a 2008 Dodge Caliber and it has a oil leak. It looks like it's coming from above the oil filter. What is it? Please help, I am wasting a lot of money on oil!

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. The oil filter points straight down, so the leak it probably from the oil filter seal itself. Have you checked to see it is it loose? Turn it hard clockwise. Wrap it in a cloth. https://www.justanswer.com/dodge/19fyq-oil-filter-located-2007-dodge-caliber.html Other ideas here https://www.google.com/search?q=2008+dodge+caliber+leak+above+oil+filter ..

How do I remove the alternator pulley from a 2008 Dodge Caliber

An impact usually works best. If it has the plastic cover on the front of the pulley, just use a small screwdriver or pick to remove it to get to the nut.

I have a 2008 Dodge Caliber. When I put the turn signal on to make a right turn, the signal turns left? What could be causing this?

The TIPM - totally integrated power module , suggest you call the dealer an see if your vehicle is covered under the factory recall. Defective TIPM Is Causing Dangerous Power Problems in Chrysler Vehicles

2008 Dodge Caliber 2.0L FWD CVT. Check engine light started flashing a few days ago, car sputters, loss of power during acceleration, p2016 and p0302 engine codes and oil smell when you start the car.

If the plugs don't fix it then the piston rings inside your cylinder could have aligned. That would cause compression to be able to leak past the cylinder heads and give you low compression. Could also be a broken rocker arm or piston arm. The rocker arms are easy to change but to get to the piston rings and arms you have to dissemble your engine. Hopefully your new plugs will work. You could also get a spark plug gauge and crimp down on the plugs if the gap is too big if you really don't want to spend the money on new plugs.Basically you would put the spark plugs in the gauge and while it's there take something and push down on the head of the plug to crimp it back down to the right gap tolerance. Good luck to ya.

All fuses are good on Dodge 2008 Caliber. Changed

You have no clue of the complexity of these systems , controlled by the TIPM - totally integrated power module . Your best bet would be to take it to the dealer . Recall on TIPM . You do not have the knowlede to fix this . http://www.dodgeproblems.com/trends/tipm

My sister in-law has a 2008 caliber. took it to advance auto after her car went into limp mode. it has codes p0700, p0708, p0776, p0746, p0777.

Shift solenoids were stuck on. This could be caused by several issues. Speed sensor could be bad, throttle position sensor could be bad, etc. This is causing the car to go into "limp-in" mode. This causes the transmission to remain in 2nd gear to allow you to get to a repair shop. Have autozone clear the codes and see if it acts up again. Usually, limp-in mode can be stopped by stopping the car, turning it off, and re-starting it. Codes will remain stored in the computer until cleared by an automotive technician.

2008 dodge caliber 1.8 L. Pic of replacement shows nut type ring to fit deep socket. Mine has plastic ring. Part of socket assy for wiring plug. Coolant temp sensor.

I would ck again, you might just be seeing the plastic housing for the wiring connection and missing the actual brass nut directly below that housing, place the socket slightly over the housing and ck. the fit by attempting to turn the socket by hand in either direction. If you experience a loose fit where the socket turns just a little, slip the socket down until it seats against the base of the sensor firmly and try turning again. I would expect the socket once it is seated all the down onto the nut you will feel no movement when attempting to turn by hand.

Hi I own a 2008 Dodge Caliber. It would not start . The lights were very strong and horn worked. The power locks would. My husband was told to take battery ground cable off and let it sit for 1 minute

That's baloney (?bologna?) with the negative cable re-setting. First, let me ask by not start, do you mean it cranks and won't start, or it won't even crank the engine over? If it cranks and won't start, suspect a gas or spark problem. Check the fuel pressure and the injector circuit for a fuel problem, then check the ignition circuit for a spark problem. If it won't even crank the engine over, it could be a wiring problem going to the starter, or it could be a bad starter motor or starter solenoid (that is attached to the starter). After all, the starter that is in the car is now 9 years old (if never changed), and that could be the problem. Usually they give some hints when they begin to go bad, like slow acting, but not always.

Is there only one fusebox (motorcompartment) in dodge caliber 2008? Or is there a second one in cabin?

Yes there is a second one inside.Update: Usually they are located on the drivers side of the dash behind a panel. If yours does not have one there, then you have an Integrated Power Module only (which is the one under the hood). I have attached a owners manual link that has the fuse locations for what your looking for. https://www.dodge.com/download/pdf/manuals/2008-Caliber-2nd.pdfIt is on page 351 of the manual. Hopefully that helps, if not get a hold of me!
