You need the transmission rebuilt most likely, have it scanned for fault codes.

TCS And 4wd use the abs wheel sensors to engage and disengage so if there is a slight fault in the abs sensor system TCS will be disabled and the 4wd will either not engage or disengage depending on the drive position set at time of fault that is what the lights are telling you Get the sensor system checked out from the abs rings on the axles to the sensors and wiring to the abs pump controller

Check power steering fluid and or tranny fluid.if low check for leaks.,., fix or repair.,., or just fill see if it stops. Do not over fill .,.? , get back to me

Did you bend a drive line part. A arm or any control arms .,., are traction control lights flashing???

unless you bought an extended warranty ---a recall is for the life of the vehicle when it done its done and up to the manufacturer if they will extend coverage on the recall part you can call jeep and ask about which recall your inquiring about and if yours is covered on all 3 compass recalls it was limited to certain ones 2007 Jeep Compass Recalls CarComplaints com

wow one of the first posts ever to say, it wont crank.... very clear that. Its silent. but is it automatic transmission, ill guess yes.

1. fuses good.??
2. battery terminals not green with rust.?
3. does it crank in Neutral, as the operators manual states??
4. you do know that new batteries, can be DISCHARGED right?
5. so does jumper cable jump starts to a running donor car crank now? AAA Tow style? (oops new battery was discharged , charge it now)
6. no, then hot wire the starter solenoid ,with keys in pocket.
7. cranks now? , then starter is good. (i just saved you cash)
8. no it doesn't crank now, the starter is bad, or engine is seized. (hand turn engine to discover that fact)
9. cranks hot wired? yes,. that means the key line is dead.
10. the Key line can be dead for 3+ reasons, aftermarket alarms added or remote start bs added, or transmission park/neutral switch is bad or ignition switch bad.
11. to find #10 it takes a $10 volt meter, are you game?

most just pry off, pop fasteners. from bottom up. why not use youtube and watch 1000s do the same to all cars. see the trend there. plastic pry lever, and pop, it goes. or read and buy the fsm book or read the door pages on alldata.com or ? buy the FSM off ebay.
