My 2000 vw beetle has a problem with the a/c. I
Yes! I almost sure
I know what is grounding or Why????
A/C compressor COIL is broken!
As this coil works with static energy, once broken, the voltage gets through the compressor body.
I think that's most posible cause. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi.The sensor in the seat is usually part of a pretension unit.
Its hard to discribe how to take this unit out.
but first don`t attempt to do this job with the seat in place.
Once you take the seat out ( Usually a bolt in each corner of the runners ) it will make sense to
you how the unit comes out.
Alot of times with seat sensor showing as a problem its just a bad connection underneath the
seat so please check the connectors first.
Good luck with this problem.

either your compressor or compessor clutch is bad or the system needs charging.
I have a Y2K Bug
This could be a problem with the electrical or a sensor may have detected an error. Heat affects the oil, electrical and the metal components of the engine. First that you should do is conduct a physical inspection on the wiring and cabling. Check if they are secure and no loose connections, there might be a loose ground wire somewhere. Check especially the high tension wires, they may not be plugged securely to the engine and the distributor.
Check for loose vacuum hoses and the air pathway from the filter to the intake manifold should be secure or no tear on it.
Check the fluids, if there was a decrease in the reserve and in the radiator. Fluids may not be circulating correctly.
It would be a good idea to have a scanner connected to the diagnostic port of the car. You may have error codes saved in the computer that should be retrieved to accurately diagnose the problem. Some shops would let you borrow one. Autozone as far as I know does that.
How do I get my
It must be reset with an ODB computer diagnostic tool. You should be able to take it to any auto repair shop and they can reset it. They will also be able to tell you if there is any codes on the unit that may have caused the light to come on, aside from your oil change.
In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.
How do I remove the
Hi, to start removing, there is a 13 mm bolt hold a mount at the bottom of the battery that you have to take out, be careful not to drop the mount, then you would have to retrieve it by taking the splash shield off, so use a magnet to catch the mount and bolt when it comes loose.
There is another bolt holding the power steering reservoir, take that out, then after that you should be able to pull it out but it won't be easy. I recommend taking it to the dealership because after replacing the battery the radio will go into safe mode and you will have to retrieve the radio code, and also reset the windows' one touch up and down programming.

The beetle has also been recalled for a sunroof issue, I found this website:-
http://newbeetle.org/forums/questions-issues-concerns-problems-new-beetle/43357-new-sunroof-recall.html
Where it says:-
"Sorry if I put this in the wrong place but I just got a recall notice for the sunroof drains on my bug.
It's SERVICE ACTION 60A7/S9 and pertains to all NBs from 2001 - 2007
equipped with sunroofs. It's also for certain Jettas, Audi A4s, Golfs,
GTI, and Passats. You'll probably get a notice but I wanted to let
people know just in case, for some reason, they don't get the
notification...maybe because they're not an original owner etc.
VW will clean, modify and inspect the sunroof drains and tubes. There's
also a form to be reimbursed if you've had to pay for any problems in
the past".
Which means that, if you or your car didn't go to this recall, then VW will sort it all out for you for for free. Its a manufacturer's problem.
Just pop in to a dealership and ask, if its been done, you're back to square one but its worth a crack................. Good Luck.
However, here's a website which shows you how to service your sunroof.

P0121 generic
throttle/pedal position sensor a
circuit
P0121 - Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem
The Throttle position sensor is a potentiometer that measures the amount of throttle opening. As the throttle is opened, the reading (measured in volts) goes up. The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies a 5 Volt reference signal to the throttle position sensor (TPS) and usually a ground also. A general measurement is: at idle = .5 Volts; full throttle = 4.5 Volts. If the PCM detects that the throttle angle is greater or less than it should be for a specific RPM, it will set this code.
Potential Symptoms: Symptoms of a P0121 trouble code could include:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination (Check Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light)
Intermittent stumble on acceleration or deceleration
Blows black smoke on acceleration
No start
Causes: A code P0121 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
TPS has intermittent open or short internally
Harness is rubbing and causing an open or short in the wiring
Bad connection at the TPS
Bad PCM (less likely)
Water or corrosion in connector or sensor
Possible Solutions:
1. If you have access to a scan tool, see what the idle and WOT (wide open throttle) readings are for the TPS. Check if they're close to the specifications mentioned above. If not, then replace the TPS and re-check.
2. Check for an intermittent open or short in the TPS signal. To do that, you can't use a scan tool. You'll need an oscilliscope. The reason is because scan tools take samplings of many different readings over just one or two data lines and can miss an intermittent drop out. Hook up your oscilliscope and watch the signal. It should sweep up and down smoothly with no drop outs or spikes.
3. If no problems were noticed, perform a wiggle test. Do this by wiggling the connector and harness while watching the pattern. Does it drop out? If so, replace TPS and re-check.
4. If you have no TPS signal, check for 5 Volt reference at the connector. If it's present, check the ground circuit for open or shorts.
5. Make sure the signal circuit isn't 12V. It should never have battery voltage. If it does, trace circuit for short to voltage and repair.
6. Look for any water in the connector and replace TPS as necessary.
