2006 Saturn Vue 2.2 Questions & Answers
Can a 2006 saturn VUE 4cyl, 2.2l front wheel drive be flat towed?
if it is an automatic transmission it will need to towed with the front wheels off the ground
Short distance towing with any automatic transmission is ok but it has to be remembered that the gears/bearings will be without lubricating oil
the user manual for all automatic cars states to remove the drive shaft before towing and as that is impracticable with a front wheel drive car , best to tow with the wheels of the ground
consider putting it on a car trailer behind you MH as an alternative operation
Where is this water coming from
Cant be sure but if its not the heater hose itself its most likely the heater core ,, which is a hard to change . Try a can of stop leak ,,ya never know , it might fix it . Chuck
Driver's side power window not working on Saturn vue
It's the 6" wiring harness in the driver's door jam.I found 3 bad wires stretched them closer together and soldered them together, after I split the rubber harness holder part way down with a razor knife. easy ....and I am not an expert.
How much fuel is left when the low fuel light comes on
It varies for every car. Usually 1-1.5 gallons when the low fuel light comes on. I drove my last '93 Ford Taurus around until the gauge said it was empty. Lifted the car and took the gas tank off and it had 3 or more gallons still in it. Here's some fun, zero your odometer, fill the gas tank and drive it until the low fuel light comes on. Then drive it till it dies out, obviously somewhere near home or where someone can drop off a full gas can.
Check engine light is on and i got error code p1133. what is that?
Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1
- Vacuum leak
- Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 harness is open or shorted
- Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit poor electrical connection
The Powertrain Control Module (
PCM) monitors the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) activity for 90 seconds after closed loop operation has begun. The
PCM determines if the front HO2S is functioning properly by counting the number of HO2S-1 Lean/Rich (L/R) and Rich/Lean (R/L) switches.
If the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) determines that the front HO2S did not switch enough times, the PCM will set the P1133 code.
replace the o2 sensor I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Nothing in the steeing wheel works horn, cruise, radio buttons
Almost sounds as if the steering wheel wire harness is disconnected! All those things are bundled into a harness that is connected at the factory when the steering wheel is installed. The connection is probably inside the car under the dashboard.Be blessed.
Broken exhaust manifold bolts
basically the head has to be taken out the snaped bolts drilled out and retaped no other way unless there is loads of room in the engine bay modern car unlikley its probably an aloy head as well be very carfull if your doing it yourself if you go off to much you might break the walls of the head needing a new cylinder head hope this helps ivan uk
I got error code p1599
Before you replace the sensor, you should check the voltage circuit for the heater. The sensor may be fine and not getting voltage to the heater inside. The code 1599 just means the engine has stalled at some point. It does not tell you why or how.I doubt the two codes are related.
Where is the oil filter on a 2006 Saturn Vue?
which engine is it. and USA car?
did you even look first. seems not to me.
why not go to Valvoline oil changers, and let them do the mess.
no split oil.
here it is, me reading your manual < LOST IT:
?
2008 Saturn Vue XE 3.5. The odometer, the radio and gauges don't work and the A/C buttons are flashing and the alarm won't activate by the key fob.
Question edited for clarity
Take it to a good local auto-electrician as advised.

Have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , before you start playing with thing's . All the gauge setting information comes to the instrument cluster over serial data network GM Class 2 from the PCM/ECM engine computer . Could have U codes stored, Do you know anything about serial data networks or U codes ? If not, do yourself a favor an have a qualified repair shop check it.

Fuel Gauge
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the fuel level based on information from the engine control module (ECM). The engine control module (ECM) calculates the fuel level based on information from the fuel level sensor. The engine control module (ECM) sends the fuel level information to the body control module (BCM) via the serial data circuit. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the fuel level as received from the BCM. The fuel gage defaults to E (empty) if:
• The ECM detects a malfunction in the fuel level sensor circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of serial data communications with the BCM.
• The BCM detects a loss of serial data communications with the ECM.
When the fuel level is less than a pre-determined value, the Low Fuel indicator message illuminates.
Speedometer
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the vehicle speed based on information from the engine control module (ECM). The engine control module (ECM) calculates the vehicle speed from the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) input. The ECM sends a serial data message to the BCM indicating the vehicle speed. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the vehicle speed as received from the BCM via serial data circuit.
The speedometer defaults to 0 km/h (0 mph) when any of the following occur:
• The ECM detects a malfunction in the vehicle speed sensor.
• The BCM detects a loss of serial data communications with the ECM.
• The IPC detects a loss of serial data communications with the BCM.
