2009 Saturn Aura XE - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
What are the probable causes of DTC P0412?
Code 412 means there is a problem with the Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Relay Control Circuit.
You will probably need a shop manual to get the diagnostic steps for that code.
Check engine light
Did you mechanic read the codes in the computer? I find it hard to believe that a qualified mechanic didn't tell you what codes were popping up. The next time it happens go to the auto parts store (autozone or advanced auto) ask the to read your check engine light. They'll do it for free and they'll give you a print out of the possible causes for the malfunction too.
If i turn off my Saturn aura after that is not possibly to start again until the engine is cool.I need help
Hi Beny,
There are many problems that can cause the symptoms your Aura is having. One thing that comes to mind with a car that can't be started until the engine is cool, is a failing fuel pump. Some failing fuel pumps work fine when cold, but won't hold proper fuel pressure when hot.
Another possibility is a bad ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor). A bad ECT can report the wrong coolant temperature to the engine computer, causing starting and driveability issues.
Double check your battery cable and the connections to and from the battery, as well as the ground cables. Corroded terminals and loose wiring/connections can also cause issues starting your Saturn.

07 aura no crank no start everything comes on when key is in start position no click no nothing
Anti-theft light lit on the instrument cluster ? This is a complex computer controlled circuit ,starting . The ignition switch is a input to the BCM - body control module and when it see's start request signal , it will energize the run crank relay powering up the vehicle . And also send's a message via the GMLAN serial data bus network to the ECM - engine control module , which will energize the starter relay turnning over the motor . GMLAN is general motors own version of C.A.N. - controller area network
How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN The first place to start diagnosing this problem , check battery , cable connections , check for DTC's diagnostic trouble codes !
When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position, a discrete signal is supplied to the body control module (BCM) notifying it that the ignition is in the Start position. The BCM then sends a message to the engine control module (ECM) notifying it that CRANK has been requested. The ECM verifies that the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If it is, the ECM then supplies 12 volts to the control circuit of the START relay. When this occurs, battery positive voltage is supplied through the switch side of the START relay to the S terminal of the starter solenoid.
Have 2009 Saturn Aura need to program keyless remote
Sorry dealer only !
Important: Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. The order in which the transmitters are programmed is important. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. Use care to program the transmitters correctly.
The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
Invalidate All
This procedure will erase all keyless entry transmitters from memory.
- Install a scan tool.
- Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
- With the scan tool, select Body.
- Select Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).
- Select Module Setup.
- Select Program Key Fobs.
- Select Invalidate All.
- Follow the scan tool on screen instructions.
