Choking
Start by replacing the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, located on the fuel rail atop the engine (fairly simple and inexpensive procedure). If the problem persists, use a fuel pressure gauge to verify that your fuel pump is producing enough pressure and, if not, replace the fuel pump AND the fuel pick-up screen in the gas tank.
Mitsubishi l200 cuts out
It is probably the Suction Control Valve (SCV), it is fitted on the back of the highpressure diesel pump. I just changed one and it works all fine. The Valve should be around 200 euros on ebay, or about 450 euros at your Maindealer. Universal diagnostics will tell you all kinds of things but not this valve. Don`t know what about the proper Mitsubishi Program.Good luck
