2007 Jeep Wrangler 3.8 - Page 8 Questions & Answers
I live in Ohio and
have the obd codes checked, once they get checked, post the results here, and we will be able to better help you in a solution, I can assist you in defining what the codes mean, and how to repair your vehicle so that your emissions will drop below the required amounts so that you will pass the test
2008 wrangler electrical system. windshield wipers will not turn off and control panel lights and gauges are not working.
right off the bat, i think weak battery, (im a retired ET so....)
is the battery (-rested ) voltage below 12.6vdc (warm climate)?
if not its discharged, or bad., causes a many.
The BCM can go nuts below 11vdc or so. not sure min. but will.
car spec is 11vdc, min.
The BCM listens to that switch and must see it change state.
if not it will ont send out the command to the TIPM module
or does send that message (can-bus command) but the TPIM
fails to respond
so the first thing to do is this: all cases.
- battery is charged ( 1 second check with volt meter)
- check that fuses are all good, tested.
- connect any scan tool that does jeep codes. my innova 3160 does this and look for DTC errors, now. (ask what they mean)
- You can pull the battery neg lug and reset it all. but may loose radio codes, or nav. codes, my 08 has neither, (cheap radio factory)
i own full docs on 08 JK, and 2 FSM and more. lots more.
Oil pressure on 1995 jeep wrangler
what is the question, try to form a real question and not just a statement in fact.1: what cause it2: what tests can i do3: is my lamp fibbing4: is my gauge fibbing, (in dash or in hand>)?)5: am i using the wrong oil6: is the engine overheating?
What is code p1404 on jeep wrangler
wow, no year car stated, now that does make it harder, huh?
and no engine state (size) nor transmission.
mines an 08 Speed, 3.8L V6
P1 is a factory code .
i even keep all zillion DTC pages, in a binder in my truck hatch,
answer (by guessing what enigne you have>) sad huh/
on my car its EGR read back error ,
rationality closed
i think, that means it reads closed when open
so replace it , or clean it.
EGR main.
or post the year, P1 codes are not federal codes, but
are Married to engine, type and year.
id do the tests stated in the FSM. and not guess.
but that is me. i hate throwing part$
Emssion failure code "ready_Hoxy"
so what are you doing there.
using a scan tool?
my guess, only because you said READ.
this is the scan tolls , display of readiness monitors.
what that means is:"
- you pulled the cars battery (or it went dead) and you fail to run car for 20 miles or 30min to clear all readiness monitors (oxy) the EVAP monitor will take longest or if tank full , not run at all until 1/4 lower....
- there are DTC you are ignoring, yes, scan it and get them all, and win,, but if DTC errors are set , the oxygen sensor tests will fail to complete.
why not do a full scan, and report all errors. and the status of
ALL readiness monitors.
How to fix code p0441 on 1997 jeep wrangler?
codes can not be fixed, only diagnosed
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0441
try getting the gas cap tight this time.
or new cap
if not you have to test the whole system. EVAP
that means pressure testing it first.
the each part. last.
THE FSM (fact. service manual) covers EVAP tests 100 % step by step, why not read that
or at alldata.com
its all there too, step by step, then ask questions on steps. if lost
"headlight sensor"
no year, no joy
no country same, lighting laws, vary by, COUNTRY.
and jeep exports JEEPS.
Location vin number location
Bottom of the windshield, in front of the steering wheel. You should be able to read it from outside the vehicle.
It should also be printed on your registration.
Transfer case troubleshooting
no year.????
what are tires touching , ice, nah, dirt? must we guess?????
its and offroad vehicle so we need that. data.
both front tires have zero torque? to the ground or what.?
you can check this out on jack stands.
put it in 4wd and make sure the front drive shaft spins, does it.>?
yes, good, no then transfer case
yes then front axle lock failure. the FSM covers all this.
my wanglers all have part time 4wd drive. not AWD.
so do the testing on dirt or damage the transfer case.
wind up is bad.
the car has no center differential. so do not drive it on pavement ice free. in 4wd. or bam, bad happens.
