a fuel pressure gauge is $20 if pressures ok at fail, then it s NOT PRESSURE problem (physics here) you could by a scan tool (obd1) and see what happens at stalls. one way to find stalls for sure pre 1996 is to measure voltages on the ASD relay (the stall relay, LOL) it if drops just before the stall that means the stall was ECU COMMANDED. and if the ECU commanded it , it knows why and will tell you why. if the stall is not due to ASD drop then its may other causes. when you said it had no spark, i bet $10 you did it wrong,? takes 2 persons, one at key other testing if not you can NOT run from key to spark plugs, in 2 seconds the ASD drop out rules. yah cant rule 1: key on and see the ASD close, (voltages) it must close for 2 seconds cranked, must and just stay closed, cranked, or if in 2 seconds it drops out 'that means the ECU dropped ASD for CAUSES, 1 to 8 reasons the VTSS reason is not it, your car has no Immoblizer. feature. http://jeepdied.com/no-start.html here is a list engine bad, low compression on 1 or or cylinders. (logic) hard. 1: i can keep it running with spray need a video? yes, means ASD is not dropping out 2: no? ASD is killing the engine on purpose. and scan tool told you. cranks no start you said, "No codes." if really true , there is no fuel pressure.! if not true, its done wrong. so scan correctly THIS time. is the skim light glowing in the dash cluster, if yes, it will not start by DESIGN. SKIM is the immobilizer and DOES! you must scan WHILE l its failing, not after, WHILE. HOW TO SCAN correctly on JEEPS, (no starts) key on, see scanner working? now, it must, if not ask. crank or 5 seconds, (1 potato , 2 potata, 3,4,5. release key, ( 4 and 5 are overkill but why not?) do not turn key off or say 2 minutes, get PCM time to REPORT. scan (2008 or newer scan tools work, CAN-BUS certified) the tool then tells you why the ASD RELAY dropped killing starting (by DESIGN) try to know SKIM is and option, so.... me blind can see car http://jeepdied.com/ASD.html runs on test fuel longer that 3 seconds, by hand, means. all is working mostly, the fuel pressure gauge needs a jeep hose kit to work so/....... the pump needs power to work, now the acid tests i have 2. acid tests lacking a real scan too;.. spark timing light connected up. you crank and spark dies, AFTER 2-3 seconds into crank/start cycle means ASD dropped. connect meter to injector 12vdc power feed its a daisy chain 12vdc dies, at 3seconds of crank, or dies at 3 seconds of running, if true PCM did that , and is ASD drop doing that running any jeep for 1 second on test fuel is a waste of time it tells too little learn that jeeps can drop a ASD at 100mph any time it wants. and only scanning while it drops tells you why, unless the SKIM lamp glows,

If it was the anti-theft system causing the no start , there would be a light lit on the instrument cluster . Might want to check the wiring to the fuel pump and if good, trace wiring to the front, at ignition.

96,TJ jeep, called Wrangler, is it in USA? command trac 4wd. is my guess. 4wd, did you read the operators guide yet.? seems not. it covers this... for sure...! are tires on ICE?, you car has part time four wheel drive. its not full time. that means what?.what tires are touching is 100% important. so if tires are not on OFFROAD DIRT or ICE or packed snow then you must not use 4wd. see? it's balking, as all do ,using it wrong. the balking also saved you from danger ! fuse boxes vary by. (that box is PDC, primary distribution center) 1: country 2: engine opted day 1. AND Transmission, (drive line options) 3: if car has A;C or not. 4: and other options. why not state the problem first and ask what to do. for a win/win. if its is just a parts hunt "purchase decision"? why not just look at the jeep.com pages at the parts list;. lots and lots of fuse boxes. or ask a wrecking yard, to look this up on the Hollanders, data base. wrangler JK jeep. only, USA. only. Shari i posted the answer yesterday, did you miss that? there is no fuse for head lamps, this is a FACT this is not a 1987 wrangler, with its fuses. It is NOT. this car is 2007+ and is radicallly(sic) different. (sic means i spelled it wrong to block the censors) this car has ELECTRONIC drivers. let me guess, you have never seen a Transistor high power. I don't know if the 1990 and the 1991 are the same, but our 1990 fuse is number 7 Accessory.

sure air bags the right set has air back passenger sensors the air bag system will go in to alarm with wires pulled get the dealer to fix that. you should of negotiated that up front on day 1 buy. you might get just the back of seat off. only and not remove lower. but that is your call.

P0340 give the problem as: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Bank 1 or Single Sensor. Check your Camshaft position sensor to make sure it is good as this will cause no or bad spark to you spark plugs. I hope this helped and good luck.

If it originally came clamped on it may last a long time to come. If it is working great it's probably a LOW PRESSURE HOSE . If it's a high pressure hose it would of probably popped off after a good hard turn & your PS fluid would of spewed out all over . A high pressure hose cant be held by clamps. Keep an eye on things & if I cant help BEST BET ask a pro to tell you which one it is . Sounds like LOW PSI to me. If its high PSI R?R ASAP. Thanks Frank M

When you say you're having a hard time starting it does that mean it cranks over fine but it just takes a while to start or does that mean the starter is dragging when you try to start it

crawl under the vehicle and look on the drivers side of the transfer case. You will see the shift lever. With the e-brake set, or the wheels chalked, pop the lever back to the 2wd position.
