Why can't I turn my crank by hand?
The Ford 2 litre DOHC is an 'interference' engine. This is where the valves are guaranteed to hit the piston if the mechanical timing is set wrong.
If you have started and run the engine with the mechanical timing even slightly out you have most likely bent valves. It will have rattled like a machine gun when you first started it as the valves hit.
You will most likely need to remove the cylinder head to fix this. All 16 valves will need to be checked as well as the faces on the pistons themselves. This will NOT be a cheap repair.
2005 Ford Focus wont go into reverse or over drive. What can i do
If it is a manual/stickshift might be the gear selector rather than being the transmission itself. I think fifth and reverse are opposite iach other.
Whatever the case it will need the attention of a competent mechanic hut it does not sound very serious at the moment
Fuel tank pressure sensor
there is an autoshutoff relay that works both ignition and the fuel pump..if the key is turned to the run position, you should hear the tank pump come on for 2-3 seconds.. if not replace the relay..up front under the hood..parts store can tell the location of the relay..
How to set a timing in a 2005 ford focus
Timing chain or belt? Almost all timing gears have a dot that face each other when the timing marks are lined up. If you are not carful you can damage the valves while rotating the crank and came to the lined up position. However in a perfect world the top gear can be removed when it is lined up, and reinstalled with the chain or belt in place, it will be tight but you should not need to force it. good luck
Why does my car make noise on neutral but when i hit the gas pedal it goes away?
You need to locate the source of noise first , it seems to noise of drive line only. Which consist of flywheel , clutch system and gear box.
1) In case you are having same problem with clutch engaged or disengaged position ( while throttle is on) , then there is a possible problem with the neutral gear ( if it is not abnormal but just high in magnitude than it was previously than consider replacing the transmission oil) otherwise get the gear box checked with a transmission specialist.
2) In case you are having the noise problem only when clutch is engaged than u may consider to refit the clutch plate and pressure plate , there could be a problem of torquing.
