Fan belts (i assume you are using a v belt and not a serpentine --Flat belt) come in several widths. The correct belt should be level with thw outside dia of all the pulleys or just a bit higher. IF it sits down in the groove it is the wrong belt.. If you have a flat belt ensure you have it fitted correctly around all the pulleys and tensioner otherwise the tensioner won't work as designed to

remove belt and spend all pulleys. Inspect belt flat spots

If it was the fuel pump it wouldnt move at all but you can test the pressure on the fuel rail on top of the motor. Have you changed the fuel filter?

go to auto parts store so they can get the trouble code , that is causeing light to come on. it could be a vacum leak or a bad o2 sensor

Need a clutch master slave cylinder,complete assyA clutch assy won't last near 10 years either

Sounds like the timing belt as broke. The crankshaft WILL still turn when cranking the engine... the problem is that the camshaft(s) are not turning. This MAY be an INTERFERENCE Engine!!! If so , you may have internal engine damage.. so replacing the timing belt may not be the only thing needed to get the engine back to life.

most of times when fuel pump worns out that what happens,get fuel pressure checked ,

it can be drilled directly in the center with a 1/2 in bit and just short of the depth of the cylinder. I usually put blue tape around the bit so i know when the bit is deep enough.

the fuses take their power from a common rail so if theres no power at the fuse box you have bigger issues. I would suspect your actual fault is a relay have you checked this?

TPS Throttle Position Sensor - if you noticed prior to incident a fluctuating or revving tachometer (engine rpm) on idle , yoursensor if going out.Gas filter - Check mileage change filter every year after 70,000 mibuildup in residue in tank

Yes it is the alternator that needs to be checked as it is almost certainly not charging correctly. If the car has a high mileage the brushes in the alternator will be badly worn and the voltage regulator would also need to be replaced. Often people will just replace the entire alternator unit rather than disassemble the alternator and replace parts.

The engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM or ECM,ECU), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems. Also engine mechanical problems can and do cause many drive-ability related problem such as rough idle and other symptoms.

Go to a ford dealer, be very nice and ask them to help you out.I did this and they reset the code to 0000, at no charge.It's worth a shot!

the 2002 ford 2.0 piston to wall clearance is 0.0010 - 0.0022.Did'nt know they made a 1.6 in 2002.

I'd suggest checking with your local dealer, as it may be a fix that is covered by the dealer.
