Hi. i recommend a thorough inspection of the wiring harness and harness connectors that led to the actual headlights. use a volt meter to test the current flow to the connectors. pull the connectors from the back side of the headlights and test all cooper contacts inside the connectors. If the wire contacts all show voltage, this will confirm a switch malfunction. it should be replaced in this case.

Now, if one or more contacts on the wires harness fail to produce any voltage, this will confirm a faulty wiring harness. replace the wiring harness in this case.

Make sure the headlight switch is in the on position when testing the wires.

Right above the check engine light ? Powertrain warning lamp ,is what factory service info calls it . Powertrain Malfunction Indicator Lamp The powertrain malfunction indicator lamp illuminates when a DTC is registered in the PCM which does not affect exhaust emissions. This lamp will also illuminate if the fail-safe cooling strategy is invoked by the PCM. Have vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .

Sounds like a faulty relay that fails when it gets hot.

was the oil clean of residue ? you might have a faulty valve that makes the shifts rough

As the problem is intermittent, the pcm may clear the codes when it sees fit. These codes are unrelated in terms of the circuits involved, but they could be related through a connector or an issue with the junction box in the engine compartment. Look around under the engine for any wires that are loose that may be touching a hot manifold or exhaust pipe. Repair any damaged wires. If there was no damage, suspect some damage near the junction box. Was the car in an accident? Has someone been in the box recently?

check for broken timing belt /chain

remove and clean the idle sensor valve. pull out and clean the PCV valve (on top of the valve cover).blow out (from the inside) the air filter. do not apply gas until after your vehicle starts.

the wand has failed ,this is whats its called in the trade ,now jack up the front of the vehicle then with the belly plate removed you undo the supporting crossmember for the radiator ,this will allow the rad to drop a bit .Now with a 10mm ring spanner put your arm up and undoo the 10mm bolts on the back of the bonnet lock mechanism .simple? well it is the biggest headache is getting the right part so remove it all first then take to dealers for the right one as lots of changes on this part .I thing you will find that a small plastic connection on the end has failed it like a cross in it .But you have to but the complete unit .
