are you in the USA< we are, , this is USA form with USA car and books. we do NOT have , 07 vitara here, lots of others but not that
so what country are you in, that diesel is not here.
below is generic on all cars with HVAC, (not electr. or hybrid)
double posted, why?, use comments on the first post.
add more, do so, not second post 1 problem.
the other post says the Defrost fails, gummming up you said which means fogging up, the front windshield fogs up.in DEFROST
well is the A/c working?
that is first.
in the winter the A/C is used as a dehumidifier,
this is how defrost (front) works.
and the dampers most work, to do that
and for sure the controls run the dampers and must work

what not read the HVAC pages in the SM (service manuals)
here USA cars only.... sorry.

but i look and your car is not here, because you are not in the USA. so the books we have are all wrong.

hvac 101

windows fogging up
well that takes 2 things working to do that 3 really
1: heat, you have heat. and blower works.
2: you need the dampers to work, to send a/c side air to the windshield. (it mixes heat and a/c flows)
3: the A.C must work it is the DEHUMIDIFIER PART.

i do not understand at all the sticking thing,
are you saying the controls are failing, ?

cluster lights, on all cars. have one lamp called CEL.
check engine light, some even have ICON of engine with ? mark.
the operators guide lost in the glove box, sure,

if you have a full shop at home. and the scan tool. as all do.
then you scan it and see the DTC errors
then look that up in the Suzuki FSM book for how to isolate it
to a cause.

Sorry don't know exactly but it is generally to be found in the hottest part of the engine - just below the thermostat in the housing or close by in the cylinder head, sometimes in the intake manifold if it is coolant heated and very occasionally elsewhere in the cylinder head...
